Amidst the Stranger Things fever, Millie Bobby Brown shares a personal update.
According to Page Six, Brown revealed she has officially changed her name 18 months after marrying Jake Bongiovi. In a recent interview with VT, the Stranger Things actress appeared with co-star Noah Schnapp, wherein they were quizzed about how well they knew each other.
When the interviewer asked the 21-year-old actor, “Noah [Schnapp], what is Millie’s full name?”
To which Schnapp promptly replied that the Enola Holmes actress is called Millie Bonnie Brown. However, the actress pointed out that she changed her name after she tied the knot last year.
The Tutor actor consequently guessed, “Millie Bonnie Bongiovi Brown.” The actress then asked her co-star to “drop the Brown.”
She added, “Drop the Bobby [and] drop the Brown. It’s just Millie Bonnie Bongiovi. That’s it.”
Bongiovi and Brown reportedly exchanged their vows in a secret wedding held in May 2024 after three years of dating. Per Page Six, the Damsel actress and Bongiovi held a second ceremony in Italy, where they tied the knot in an opulent wedding where Brown reportedly wore four dresses. She also reportedly took to Instagram to share photos from their wedding day.
She captioned the carousel with, “Forever and always, your wife.”

Elsewhere, appearing on the Dish food podcast released on November 26, Brown opened up about the May 2024 Italian nuptials. She said, “When Jake proposed, I was like, ‘We have to learn a dance routine. We’ll remember it forever, and when the song comes on when we’re 80, we’ll remember it. It’s going to be so special,'” as cited by USA Today.
Ticking off another milestone in their life, the couple announced in a joint Instagram post that they adopted a baby girl over the summer. In a joint statement, the couple wrote, “We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy.”
Adding later, “And then there were 3.”
Although the couple has not revealed the name of the baby girl yet, they did hint at it subtly while they were promenading in the Hamptons. Per the Daily Mail, the actress held onto a pink phone case with the letters “R”, “W”, and “B” written in red on it.
Even though Millie has kept her personal life under wraps, she did open up about her motherhood journey with her daughter. Speaking to British Vogue, she said, “It’s been a beautiful, amazing journey—she’s taught us so much already. Perspective is a huge thing. The smaller things in life are so much more precious. Our days are filled with lots of cuddles and laughter, and love. It’s just endless joy.”
Millie Bobby Brown, who plays the role of Eleven in the critically acclaimed series Stranger Things, appreciated building a second family since the series debut in 2016, which she called “probably the most amazing part.” She said, “It’s taught me a lot of lessons about being a professional person, about being an actor, about being a friend. It’s given me the most amazing people in my life to call up when I need them most, and that’s my family.”
Talking about attending the Stranger Things‘ final season premiere, Brown adds that “it’s meaningful.”
She says, “I’m so honored and blessed to have been a part of this show for so many years, and for my childhood to have been recorded. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.”
Schnapp and Brown’s friendship bloomed on the sets of Stranger Things, for which they also received a lot of adulation. Schnapp, who began playing the role of Will Byers at the age of 11, had previously reflected to PEOPLE on how the show “at its core” was “about friendship and connection and belonging and embracing your differences, and it just makes you feel a part of something. It makes you feel empowered to be proud, to be different, and proud to be who you are. I love that about it, and I think that’s why others do as well.”
The 21-year-old actor says, “I mean, of course, Millie is my best friend for life. But they all truly are just family to me, and it shows on screen. I mean, thank God we’re so close.”
