An old interview with Millie Bobby Brown has resurfaced amid reports that the Stranger Things star filed a complaint against her co-star David Harbour, citing alleged harassment and bullying during the production of the Netflix hit.

According to Page Six, the now-viral interview from March 2024, which Brown gave to MTV, has drawn renewed attention after the Daily Mail reported over the weekend that the actress had formally accused Harbour of inappropriate on-set behavior. While the allegations did not involve se*ual misconduct, the outlet claimed that “there were pages and pages of accusations” and that “the investigation went on for months.”

In the resurfaced clip, Brown was promoting her film Damsel when the conversation turned to her upcoming wedding to Jake Bongiovi. The couple married two months later, in May 2024. During the interview, the reporter jokingly suggested that the nuptials could be Stranger Things-themed, with Brown “walking down the aisle to music from the show.”

The actress, 21, responded playfully at first, imagining a bold look for the ceremony, including a shaved head and a black-and-red color scheme — a nod to her character Eleven. The tone shifted, however, when the interviewer added, “Harbour is officiating.”

At that moment, Brown appeared visibly uncomfortable. The Emmy nominee squinted slightly before giving a hesitant, “Yes.” She quickly followed with a nervous laugh, adding, “I don’t know how I feel [about that]. Sure.”

Instead, Brown suggested another Stranger Things actor for the role, Matthew Modine, who plays Dr. Martin Brenner, Eleven’s paternal figure on the show. In a coincidence later confirmed by Page Six, Modine did, in fact, officiate Brown and Bongiovi’s intimate wedding ceremony that May.

Harbour, 51, portrays Jim Hopper, a protective father figure to Brown’s character. The pair’s dynamic has been central to the series since its debut in 2016, with their relationship serving as one of the emotional anchors of the show.

However, Page Six reports that behind the scenes, the relationship may have been more strained. According to Daily Mail sources, Brown filed a formal complaint against Harbour before filming began on the show’s fifth and final season. The inquiry reportedly lasted several months, though neither Netflix nor the actors have publicly commented on its findings.

The outlet also reported that Brown was accompanied by a personal representative while filming her scenes for the final season, which took place between January and December 2024. Production wrapped approximately eight months before Brown and Bongiovi, 23, adopted their baby girl.

While details of the alleged on-set conflict remain undisclosed, both actors have continued to fulfil their professional commitments. Harbour, for his part, has been the subject of separate headlines this year following his split from singer Lily Allen. The Hellboy actor, who married Allen in 2020, has not addressed her pointed lyrics about infidelity on her 2024 album West End Girl.

Meanwhile, Brown has remained focused on her growing career beyond Stranger Things, with major projects including Damsel and her Florence by Mills beauty brand. The actress has not publicly addressed the resurfaced reports or the interview clip’s renewed circulation.

The alleged tensions come as Stranger Things approaches its long-awaited conclusion. Filming for the fifth season, which endured delays due to Hollywood’s 2023 strikes, concluded at the end of last year. The upcoming release will mark the final chapter for the Netflix series that launched Brown to international fame as a teenager.

Neither Brown nor Harbour has issued a public statement regarding the Daily Mail report. Page Six has also noted that Netflix declined to comment on the status or results of the alleged internal investigation.

As of now, both stars remain attached to the show’s final season, which is expected to premiere in 2025, closing out nearly a decade of Stranger Things and, reportedly, a complicated working relationship behind the scenes.
