Millie Bobby Brown’s presence was missed at the Good Morning America show on Monday, December 15.
According to PEOPLE, the Stranger Things actress couldn’t make it to the scheduled slot in the studio since she faced an injury that prevented her appearance. The 21-year-old actress appeared via video link instead, with her Christmas tree in the background. The news outlet revealed how Schnapp expressed his lamentation, stating he was “so sad” that Brown wasn’t in the studio with him before they were shown Brown’s clip.
Brown said, “Hey, everyone at GMA, I’m really sorry I couldn’t be there with you guys”, and explained, “I took a fall”, while showing her arm in a back sling. Taunting her co-star, whom she heartwarmingly referred to as her “best friend”, the Enola Holmes actress said, “But I wanted to still participate in any way I could because, you know, Noah, I have to make it about me.”
She also asked Schnapp, 21, “What is your favorite family tradition to do at the holidays, slash favorite memory?”, before signing off with, “I love you, good morning!”
Responding to his co-star’s question, Schnapp revealed that he and his family play a funny word game over the holiday season. He expressed, “Ah Mill, I wish she was here.”
Taking their friendly chemistry off-screen, Schnapp and Brown receive a lot of adulation, not just for their acting prowess but also for the bond they share in real life. In fact, PEOPLE reported that recently Brown asked Schnapp to play a very significant role in her family. In an appearance on The View earlier this month, Schnapp talked about being the godfather to Brown’s newborn daughter, whom she shares with her husband, Jake Bongiovi, and how it carried so much emotional significance for him.
In addition to Schnapp, the Damsel actress also shares a close bond with the rest of the Stranger Things cast, including Sadie Sink, Caleb McLaughlin, Finn Wolfhard, Joe Keery, and Gavin Matarazzo, who, according to E!News, are helping Brown with her mom duties.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Millie said, “Sadie is very maternal,” while at the show’s season 5 premiere on November 6.
“But, you know, Noah’s her godfather. So, I trust all of them to be honest. They all turn into the most gooey soft versions of themselves when their baby voice comes out when they’re around her,” she added.
He reminisced, “Oh, it’s like, such an honor. It’s crazy because we’ve grown up together and we’d talk. When we were little kids, she was like, ‘When I have a kid, you’re definitely going to be the godfather to my kid.’ Then we grew up, she had a kid, and like, now I am.”
Interestingly, this isn’t the first time that Brown reportedly missed the MTV Movie & TV Awards after splitting her kneecap in 2018, when she was just 14 years old. She took to Instagram to explain her absence, stating, “Hi guys. So another milestone in my life. I’ve never actually broken a bone except for now. I have split my kneecap. From the doctor’s orders, he told me to rest up. So I won’t be attending the MTV Awards this weekend.”
Meanwhile, Millie Bobby Brown recently made headlines for filing a lengthy complaint accusing her co-star, David Harbour, of bullying, before the series kick-started filming its fifth and final season. Speaking to Page Six, a source shared, “Millie Bobby Brown filed a harassment and bullying claim before they started shooting the last season. There were pages and pages of accusations. The investigation went on for months.”
As per the reports, the Hellboy actor faced an internal investigation following Brown’s accusation, whose outcomes have come the light of the day. Not only that, but according to Page Six, the Enola Holmes actress was even accompanied by a representative to the set while shooting the Netflix series’ finale.
