TVING has finally released the official trailer of the much-awaited horror drama titled Monstrous. It was on April 8, 2022, that the fans got to watch the trailer of the series, and they couldn’t be more excited about the same.
The Monstrous trailer starts on an eerie note with a mysterious atmosphere. The viewers can see some distraught villagers who seem to be possessed by something strange. Then we get to see Jung Gi Hoon (Koo Kyo Hwan) and Lee Soo Jin (Shin Hyun Bin) amid heavy hail as they seem to be in full chaos. When we proceed further, we get to know that the village has been declared a special disaster zone. What’s stranger is the welcome sign that has got the initials ‘Happy citizens and hopeful Jinyang.’ From what we can figure out is that it stands as a display of irony in the background.
What further adds to the curiosity among the audience about the fate of Jingyan Gun is the huge contrast between Han Do Kyung (Nam Da Reum), who never wishes to lose his goodwill, and the shaking governor of Jingyan Gun, Kwon Jong Soo (Park Ho San). Moreover, the trailer gives another message about those people who dare to look into the being’s eyes directly. From what we can figure, the ones doing so will be rotting in hell.
We are introduced to the character of Lee Soo Jin, a genius researcher who also seems to be deceived by the unknown curse. But Jin stands as a hope amid the runaway of people who have literally witnessed hell. Kwak Yong Joo (Kwak Dong Yeon) is seen as the troublemaker who says that everyone has to be killed right away or they will die. It creates a rift among all the people who are already engulfed in fear and heightens the sense of tension and crisis.

Monstrous Cast
Koo Kyo Hwan plays the role of Jung Ki Hoon, an archaeologist who is on the search for strange supernatural phenomena. He simultaneously also runs a YouTube channel and a magazine that includes the findings of his study. Shin Hyun Bin plays the role of his ex-wife, Lee Soo Jin, who visits Jingyan city after the demise of her only daughter. She is there to investigate a strange statue. Despite being a genius cryptanalyst, she faces bizarre occurrences happening nearby her.
The script for Monstrous has been penned by Yeong Sang Ho of Peninsula and Train to Busan fame. The series is directed by Jang Gun Jae, an award-winning director.

Monstrous Release Date
The makers released the teaser of Monstrous about a month ago, much to the excitement of the fans. Koo Kyo Hwan and Shin Hyun Bin play the lead roles in the horror drama that is all set to release its first episode on April 29, 2022.
