The webtoon-inspired series My Girlfriend Is the Man! is receiving love worldwide, and its latest ratings are proof. According to reports, its viewership ratings have increased slightly ahead of the final two weeks of its run. This was confirmed on August 14 when the KBS 2TV drama witnessed a modest increase in viewership after the airing of the latest episode.
Soompi confirms, citing Nielsen Korea, that the 8th episode of My Girlfriend Is the Man! has scored an average nationwide rating of 1.1%. This actually marks a slight increase from its previous night’s average, which was 0.9%.
For the unversed, the plot of the series follows Park Yun Jae’s humorous life after his girlfriend, Kim Ji Eun, turns into a guy. This hassle leads the couple to figure out how to reverse the situation. Until then, Ji Eun takes the male name, Ji Hoon.
The series premiered on July 23, 2025, and stars Arin, Yoon San-Ha, Yoo Jung-Hoo, and Chuu.

When My Girlfriend Is the Man! was announced, no one thought that it would receive immense love as a webtoon. Speaking of that, Yoo Jung Hoo, who plays the male Ji Eun, said, “At first, I was worried… could I really pull off a character with a woman’s inner identity? But the more I read the script, the more I found the storyline so intriguing that I started to really want the role. I kept thinking, when else would I get the chance to take on a challenge like this? That’s what ultimately led me to accept the role.”
Chuu, on the other hand, described the K-drama’s plot to be “unique and refreshing.”
Arin, who plays the female lead Kim Ji Eun in the series, told Metro.Style, “I remember thinking, ‘I have to do this script!’ It was so fun that I read it from beginning to end with a smile on my face. I felt a strong desire to take on the role of Ji-Eun and give it a try.”
As the ratings of the series increase, fans will be a little disappointed to know that it’s just two episodes away from its final.
