Drum Rolls, Please! The much-awaited good news for the One Chicago fandom has arrived earlier than anyone anticipated. After months of speculating, NBC has finally silenced all the rumors and confirmed that the beloved series created by Derek Haas and Michael Brandt have been renewed for additional seasons for their respective popular shows, “Chicago Fire,” “Chicago P.D.,” and “Chicago Med.”
All three shows have been renewed for the 2023–2024 television season. This is an exciting update, as the fans won’t have to wait too long in order to delve right into the world of One Chicago once again, which isn‘t tiring after years of cheerful content. Moreover, all the shows have received 22-episode orders from Universal Television, which produces the shows in association with Wolf Entertainment.
“We understand the emotional connection our audience has with these characters and we can’t wait to bring more of their stories to the forefront next season,” Lisa Katz, the president of scripted programming at NBCUniversal and Streaming, said in a statement. Further adding, “A huge thank you to Dick and his amazing team who are the masters of producing incredibly compelling television week after week.”
