The third episode is titled, Unearth, which was released on 3 October 2022. The episode is directed by Diana Valentine and written by Yasemin Yilmaz. The official synopsis of the episode states, “When a dead body is found at an ancient burial site that is thought to be cursed, the team tries to determine the motive and the symbolism behind the crime; as Torres continues therapy with Dr. Grace, he discovers that their lives are in danger.”
In the episode, the viewers got to see that when a body is discovered at a crime site, the gang arrives. They see stones in the victim’s body, which sets them all on a journey to learn more about what occurred. Torres discusses this with his therapist and admits that he still has some issues to work through.
They are both abducted before the session is through and wake up in a jail in the middle of nowhere. The guys want access to Grace’s computer so they can track down Vega, who they believe took everything from them. Grace denies the existence of the youngster, but after they shoot Torres, she brings them to the location where the boy is being held.
Finally, the NCIS agents apprehend Grace, and her abductor is slain. The remainder of the squad discovers Nick just in time as he fights the second prisoner. They all make it to safety, and Nick begins to question if he has done the right thing. He vows to inform his staff about everything. Kasie plans a party for Ducky that brings everyone together, but she chooses Parker’s house as the venue.
