The popular drama, Agents of Mystery, is returning for Season 2! Yes, Netflix Korea took to its official account on August 7 and announced that the variety show will be returning to the screen soon.
For the unversed, Agents of Mystery is a mystery adventure show that showcases a group of mystery investigators solving strange cases that cannot be explained scientifically. The show has been helmed by PD Jung Jong Yeon of The Genius, The Devil’s Plan, and The Great Escape fame.
Reportedly, Season 2 will feature the return of the original members, Lee Yong Jin, Kim Do Hoon, John Park, Hyeri, and aespa’s Karina. The audience will also be introduced to a brand-new agent: Gabee.
Here’s what director Jeong Jong-yeon said about the upcoming season: “With a new member joining, Season 2 saw the cast and crew working together with incredible synergy, and the chemistry among the agents has reached new heights.”

A flashback to Season 1
The first season of Agents of Mystery captivated the audience with its large-scale and unpredictable missions. Most people loved the camaraderie shared by the agents who tackled perplexing cases.
In the upcoming season, Lee Yong Jin, who plays the leader, will guide the team again with his wit. He will be assisted by John Park, the main person who is the brainchild behind the group’s primary activities.
Hyeri, on the other hand, uncovers critical clues in moments of crisis. Another important character in the show is Kim Do Hoon, who is known for taking bold actions. Meanwhile, Karina is the secret weapon of the gang with a sharp instinct for reading any situation.
As we mentioned, the audience will get to meet Gabee, whose character is of a person with sharp wit, charisma, and quick thinking. This person is surely going to shake up the team dynamic a bit and add a new layer of excitement to the upcoming missions.
When will Season 2 release?
Netflix Korea is yet to announce the premiere date for the second season of Agents of Mystery. The earlier season, which premiered in June 2024, had six episodes.
