Therefore, there is no official announcement concerning its release date.
Has Never Have I Ever season 4 finished filming?
Mindy Kaling, the co-creator of the show, shared an Instagram post in April which hinted about the ongoing writing process of the upcoming installment. In addition, according to Netflix Life, the production of the final season began somewhere in spring 2022. Considering its antecedents’ production history, Never Have I Ever Season 4 would ideally take four months to finish filming.

Why is Season 4 of Never Have I Ever the finale?
“Four seasons for a high school show felt like it made sense. They can’t be in high school forever. We’ve seen those shows. Like, you’ve been in high school for 12 years. What is going on here? Also, the actors get older and it starts looking insane that a 34-year-old is playing a 15-year-old,” said Mindy Kaling regarding four seasons being the fate of the show.
Considering what Kaling mentioned, it seems that Never Have I Ever will circle around Devi and her friends only for a specific period of their time. The focus of the show is the teenage years of Devi’s life that are inclusive of her ethnic and familial landscape set against a very foreign backdrop, not to mention the evolution and discovery of her identity amongst all of that.
Be that as it may, we can hope for a season renewal, although that’s rare, or a spin-off. Maybe we get to see Devi in college. Who knows?
