North West, the 12-year-old daughter of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, appeared in a series of recent TikTok videos showcasing a dramatic new look. The pre-teen wore several fake face tattoos, including a star placed under her right eye and her name written in cursive on her left cheek. Her hair was styled in long blue braids, and she completed the look with a black grill, colored contact lenses, and a faux septum piercing.

In addition to the striking accessories, North wore a loose-fitting black T-shirt, oversized shorts, chunky sneakers, and layered silver chains. She captioned one of the TikToks with, “Fake piercings and fake tatts 4 life.”

Several videos and photos were posted to the joint TikTok account shared by Kardashian and her daughter. One clip showed North and a group of friends posing inside a private jet, while another captured them backstage at a concert. The comment sections for all the videos were turned off.

North’s bold fashion choices have drawn public attention before. In August, Kardashian received criticism after her daughter was seen wearing a corset top, a miniskirt, and platform boots during a family trip to Rome.

“Not a fan of a bustier on a 12 year old. Love Kim and North but it would have been a no ma’am for me,” one social media user wrote in response to the images. Another added, “OK, Kim, she’s 12 …”

Kardashian, 45, addressed the backlash during an episode of the Call Her Daddy podcast last week. The Skims founder acknowledged the incident and admitted it was an error in judgment.

“It’s really hard and it’s really interesting because all the kids are wearing the same things,” Kardashian said. “But then my daughter tries to wear it, and then I’m like, ‘OK, we’re never wearing that again.’ Unfortunately, we made that mistake in front of the whole world.”

While recognizing the controversy, Kardashian also stood by her daughter’s individuality and fashion experimentation. She noted that North, despite her expressive style, is well-behaved and respectful.

“She does listen to me, but in other areas, I’m like, ‘Babe, if you want blue hair, it is what it is,’” Kardashian explained. “You know, it makes her so happy. I would never take that creativity away from her.”

Kardashian further emphasized the difficulty of parenting in the public eye, especially while raising four children on her own.

“I just think anyone that’s raising kids, especially four kids by myself, I’m doing the best that I can,” she said.

North is the eldest of Kardashian and Kanye West’s four children. The former couple also shares daughter Chicago, 7, and sons Saint, 9, and Psalm, 6. Despite their separation, Kardashian continues to co-parent with West, though she remains the more visible figure in their children’s public appearances and social media content.

North has frequently made headlines for her fashion-forward style and social media presence. Her appearances on TikTok often go viral, drawing both praise and scrutiny. However, Kardashian has consistently defended her daughter’s right to explore her identity and creativity, stating that she aims to foster self-expression while setting boundaries as a parent.
