The world is still under the clutches of the COVID-19 pandemic despite taking various precautions and vaccinations. While we continue to fight the virus, some of us often fall prey to its infection. Unfortunately, another K-pop artist, Seunghee, has tested positive for coronavirus. For the unversed, she is a member of the girl group OH MY GIRL. The group’s agency, WM Entertainment, released the official statement about her diagnosis on May 3, 2022.

What happened to Seunghee?
If reports are to be believed, Seunghee underwent a pre-emptively conducted rapid antigen test earlier and her results came out positive in the same. Surprisingly, the OH MY GIRL member had taken her three doses of vaccination for COVID-19. Currently, she is keeping in mind the guidelines of the health authorities. The K-pop artist has also halted all her activities as of now.
The official statement
As mentioned earlier, WM Entertainment has released a statement talking about Seunghee’s current health situation. Here is the full statement.
“Hello, this is WM Entertainment.
This is to inform you about OH MY GIRL’s Seunghee testing positive for COVID-19.
Seunghee tested positive via the rapid antigen test that she preemptively conducted today (May 3).
Seunghee has completed the third round of vaccination for COVID-19, and she has currently halted all scheduled activities and is taking rest and the necessary measures in keeping with the government healthcare authorities’ guidelines.
The agency will follow prevention guidelines and do our best to support our artist, keeping her safety and health as our top priorities so that she can focus on treatment.

The K-pop group OH MY GIRL recently made a comeback on March 28, 2022, with their second full-length album titled Real Love. They also released a music video along with the same for the title track of the same name. For the unversed, it was the girl group’s first-ever comeback after a period of ten months. Before that, the girl group released DEAR OH MY GIRL and the title track Dun Dun Dance.
The South Korean girl group was formed by the agency WM Entertainment. The group has seven members including Seunghee, Mimi, Hyojung, YooA, Arin, Yubin, and Jiho. However, earlier it was an eight-member group until 2017 when one of the members, JinE left the group owing to health issues. The group debuted way back in April 2017 and is one of the most popular K-pop bands in current times.
