Olivia Rodrigo was spotted in a new look!
On Friday, in the video of her new song “Obsessed,” Rodrigo, who has tried out many Y2K fashion trends after gaining fame with her album Sour, but has always stuck with her brunette, middle-parted waves hairstyle was spotted in a completely different look.
In the video, the singer is seen rocking baby bangs, which make her look completely different. The bangs, which were probably clip-ins were styled by celebrity hairstylist Clayton Hawkins, who paired them with soft, long waves and two braids which were framing her face. For her outfit, Olivia wore an off-the-shoulder black prom dress with sheer detailing, pairing it with loafers and socks also adding a sash that read “Miss Right Now,” as she sings about her boyfriend’s exes in the song.
This isn’t the first time that Olivia has worn bangs as she showed up with a bun hairstyle and blunt bangs swept to the side at the 2023 Met Gala, wearing a black-and-white striped gown, which had distressed fringe at the bottom of the skirt and rosette decorations and was designed by Thom Browne.
Rodrigo is touring for her Guts World Tour right now, which started in Palm Springs, California, on February 23 and will finish on August 14 in Los Angeles, where she has worn various bold and revealing outfits on stage till now, including a custom-made Swarovski crystal mesh bralette and a Michael Schmidt Studios skirt and also a $20 “Just a Girl” tank top, inspired by the feminist anthem by No Doubt.
Additionally, Rodrigo also released a deluxe version of her second album, GUTS (spilled), on Friday, which includes five new songs, like “Obsessed,” which she’s been singing during her tour, and some folk-inspired tracks such as “girl i’ve always been” and “stranger.”
