One Of Us Is Lying: Will there be a Season 3 or not?
Unfortunately, the answer is no! Peacock has officially confirmed that the third season of ‘One of Us Is Lying,’ has been canceled after two seasons on the network. According to Deadline, the execs at Peacock were happy with both shows creatively, but they just didn’t find the requisite audience to justify further seasons. On the other hand, it is quite surprising that the show has been discontinued despite having a fairly good reception worldwide. On the review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, 89% of 9 critics’ reviews are positive, with an average rating of 7.0/10. On IMDb, the series has an overall score of 6.8 out of 10 with 11k votes.

One Of Us Is Lying: What is the show about?
The series is also executive produced by John Sacchi and Matt Groesch of 5 More Minutes Productions, who developed the pilot, alongside Saleh, Jan Oxenberg, Molly Nussbaum, and Bill Johnson. One of Us Is Lying, from UCP, follows what happens when five high schoolers walk into detention and only four make it out alive. Everyone is a suspect, and everyone has something to hide.
At Bayview High, five students – Simon, Addy, Cooper, Bronwyn, and Nate – are given detention. Simon, known for starting an online gossip group with his friend Janae to snitch on his classmates, suffers a sudden and fatal allergic reaction. Each of the four students had the motive to kill Simon, and after it is determined that his death was not an accident, an investigation ensues.
The first season solved the mystery of Simon’s death, and the second season picks up after the season one finale rather than following McManus’ sequel novel, One of Us Is Next, which is set one year later. In Season Two, we’ll see just how far they’ll go to protect their secrets, themselves, and each other. The main cast members of the series include Annalisa Cochrane as Addy Prentiss, Chibuikem Uche as Cooper Clay, Marianly Tejada as Bronwyn Rojas, Cooper van Grootel as Nate Macauley, Barrett Carnahan as Jake Riordan, Jessica McLeod as Janae Matthews, Mark McKenna as Simon Kelleher, Melissa Collazo as Maeve Rojas, Sara Thompson as Vanessa Clark, and Alimi Ballard as Kevin Clay.
The recurring cast members are Zenia Marshall as Keely, George Ferrier as TJ Forrester, Martin Bobb-Semple as Evan, Karim Diane as Kris, Jacque Drew as Detective Wheeler, Valerie Cruz as Isabella Rojas, Hugo Ateo as Javier Rojas, Miles J. Harvey as Lucas Clay, Ali Liebert as Ann Prentiss, Purva Bedi as Principal Gupta, Andi Crown as Ms. Avery, Errol Shand as Brad Macauley, Aidee Walker as Ellen Macauley, Joe Witkowski as Cole Riordan, Doralynn Mui as Fiona Jennings, and Emma Jenkins-Purro as Giselle Ward. Erica Saleh, who adapted the novel and wrote the pilot script for the series, took over as showrunner for season two, replacing Darío Madrona, co-creator of Elite, who will remain on the show as an executive producer.
