With so many good updates, the fans are sure to be wondering about the potential release date of the next chapter. For your convenience, we will get straight to the point that, unfortunately, as of this writing, Hulu has not yet announced an official release date for Only Murders in the Building Season 3. However, it’s expected to be released sometime around mid-to-late 2023, just like the first and second seasons. With the production now wrapped, fans can expect more news regarding a potential release date in the coming weeks.
Until then, we urge viewers to rewatch the first two seasons to catch up on the suspense and drama!
The series is exclusively available on Disney+, Hotstar (for Indian viewers), and Hulu for international viewers in the region where it’s available. The viewers can buy a subscription plan according to their preferences, which allows them to watch new episodes based on location when the episode airs worldwide at no additional cost. Regardless of the exact release date, which right now is just pure conjecture, we are certain that Only Murders in the Building Season 3 will be a highly anticipated event for fans of the show!

Speaking about the exact plotlines, everything has been kept quiet! But when series co-creator John Hoffman was asked in an interview how Season 3 would be different with the new murder taking place outside of the Arconia, he simply replied, “That’s a great question. I can’t wait to have the answers for you.” In addition to this, he stated:
“The events on stage take place after we time jump one year, which is exciting for the show because it’s a little bit of a fun reset. We view Season 1 and Season 2 as sister seasons, so for the characters, it feels like they have some breathing room and we can catch up to them and learn what’s been happening in that year. To then be thrown into a new mix like this with a new group of people around the theater and the production of Oliver’s Dream show and all of that. It’s starting to feel very exciting for a season to go towards,” he said.
“But more than that, the tease there that is teed up between Charles and Ben is what we’re going to reveal in Season 3,” he continued. “There are very sort of pointed things that Charles is saying to Ben. It’s clear that there’s huge tension between these two actors for their Broadway opening and the source of that will be revealed in Season 3. There are things being said by Charles like, ‘I know what you did,’ and ‘Stay away from her.’ All of that is a tee-up to where we’re going next season. If there’s one thing to hold onto here is ‘her identity.'”

So, the season is also expected to pick up some events in the plot and hints from the final episode of the second season, in which the trio throws a killer reveal party in an attempt to persuade Bunny’s killer to confess. Mabel declares Alice the murderer after failing with Cinda, which appears to be true when Alice stabs Charles in the stomach. Cinda congratulates Mabel on solving the case, which irritates Becky to the point where she unwittingly reveals information only the killer would know.
As Charles awakens unharmed, the guests reveal that the entire party was a ruse to expose Becky as the true murderer. Detective Williams discovered Becky’s DNA on the murder knife, and Mabel realized Bunny said “14 Sandwich” to her, which was Becky’s favorite meal at Bunny’s regular diner. Later, Becky, along with Kreps, who is revealed to be Becky’s lover, is arrested. Their goal was to become famous by doing a podcast about premeditated murder.
With the case closed, Charles gets a proper role in the Brazzos reboot and asks out his makeup artist, Joy; Mabel and Alice rekindle their romance; and Oliver reconciles with his son, who already knows they are not biologically related. One year later, on the opening night of a Broadway play directed by Oliver, the lead actor, Ben Glenroy, dies unexpectedly during his performance. There’s no doubt this will be a thrilling journey!
We’ll just have to be patient and speculate on what happens next in the new episodes.
