Is Outer Banks Season 3 coming out in summer 2022?
No, Outer Banks Season 3 is not arriving in summer 2022. We don’t know the exact release date but it is definitely not coming out this summer as the third season is currently filming and is due to continue production until August 2022.
The series was renewed for the third season on December 7, 2021.
Outer Banks season 3 Expected Release Date
There’s no official release date for Outer Banks Season 3 yet, but we can predict a date on which the season can possibly arrive. If we look at the previous schedule, filming for Season 2 started at the end of August 2020 and was completed on April 2, 2021. The production took about seven months. After that, the second season arrived a little over three months later on July 30, 2021.
Actress Madelyn Cline shared that the production for Outer Banks Season 3 began at the end of February. So, if everything goes as per the previous schedule, we can expect the filming to wrap up sometime in late August to early September 2022. It means that the third season can possibly arrive at the end of the year or early 2023. However, these are all predictions and nothing can be said about the exact release date until we get an official announcement from the creators.

Apart from the main characters from the previous seasons, Netflix has announced three new members who will be joining the third season! On June 23, Netflix announced that Andy McQueen, who will play the role of Carlos Singh, a dangerous Caribbean leader, Fiona Palomo, who will portray Sofia, a young, scrappy woman, and Lou Ferrigno Jr., who will play Ryan, Carlos’s top security officer, had joined the Season 3 cast.
