Is Pretty Smart Season 2 canceled? Read on to find out.
Pretty Smart is a sitcom that focuses on Book-smart Chelsea, who realizes that she has to learn a lot about happiness after moving in with her bubbly sister and three roommates.
It is created by Jack Dolgen and Doug Mand. Kourtney Kang, the former executive producer of How I Met Your Mother, is one of six executive producers of Pretty Smart. Even after being a popular series and reaching the Netflix US top ten list, it failed to stay in any region’s top 10s beyond 11 days (South Africa), suggesting that the show wasn’t a big numbers pull for Netflix off the bat.
Season 1 was released on the streaming platform on October 8, 2021, to overall middling critic reviews, throwing the likelihood of Pretty Smart Season 2 into question. So, has Netflix renewed the series or not? A question every fan of this situational comedy has in mind.
Here’s everything you need to know about Pretty Smart Season 2.

Will there be Season 2 of Pretty Smart?
Pretty Smart Season 2 has been canceled by Netflix after just one season. The news comes shortly after TVLine reported that Emily Osment had been elevated to series-regular status on CBS’ Young Sheldon.

Pretty Smart Season 2 Release Date
Since the series has been canceled by the makers, no release date is available for the same.
However, you can watch the trailer of the first season, if you haven’t watched it yet.
Check out the trailer below:
What could have been the plot of Pretty Smart Season 2?
The first season ended on a cliffhanger, so there was a possibility for the second season, which now stands canceled. In the first season, Chelsea, a certified brainiac, is forced to move in with her not-so-intellectual sister Claire after her boyfriend dumps her. She finds herself making unexpected bonds with Claire’s roommates: personal trainer Grant, spiritual lawyer Solana (Cinthya Carmon), and social media influencer Jayden (Michael Hsu Rosen).

The show ended with a love triangle between Chelsea, Grant, and Claire, who would never do anything to hurt each other voluntarily. In the next season, we could have seen the love triangle between them further, and it would also be the perfect moment for conflict to arise: Chelsea and Claire finally have an equal relationship where they both support each other, and Grant seems to have made peace with Claire not reciprocating his feelings.
However, now that she does have feelings, and he knows this, everything might change for him, and his intentions with Chelsea might change as well. Well, we could have seen these questions answered, but now, the second season is not coming so, the mystery will stay a mystery.
Check out Pretty Smart’s Cast reacting to the cliffhangers below:
