Puss in Boots: The Last Wish will be released in theatres on September 23, 2022.

Puss in Boots: The Last Wish Trailer

The trailer opens with Puss fighting a humongous stone monster and clearly enjoying the praise from the public. His quick moves, instant strategizing and impeccable attitude, and oops, the monster has been taken down. However, in the course of the event, Puss loses another one of his lives to the massive church bell.

Puss later counted when and where he lost his lives, like being ‘uprooted’ by a bull, his shellfish allergies, a drunk fall, being smashed by a sumo wrester and more. After all the math, he just has one life left for which he has to be particularly careful.

But do ‘careful’ and ‘Puss’ align? Absolutely not. And ‘reckless’ and ‘Puss’? Nothing more evident than that. A carriage run across the city with archers following them, coming face-to-face with the big bad wolf and then the confrontation with The Goldilocks and her three bears, none of it is being careful for one’s life.

Now what’s to see is among all this chaos, how will Puss, along with Kitty and Perro, save the world and himself. Though it’s pretty much evident the latter is not on the priority list.

Puss in Boots: The Last Wish Plot

The sequel follows the events after the first Puss in Boots movie and chronicles our hero’s last life after he loses one in another of his battles. As the cats have nine lives and Puss has lost eight, he is all set to say, “I’m NOT dead, Duhh!!” in the face of death once again, but for the last time now.
