The exponential fame and increasing fanbase of the television series do not seem to cease anytime soon. Consequently, the fans’ expectations for the upcoming season must be skyrocketing as of now.

What can we expect to happen in Quantum Leap Season 2?
The official synopsis of Quantum Leap season 2 has not met the light of day as of yet. But we expect that it will certainly build continuity with its predecessor. The official synopsis of the series states, “It’s been 30 years since Dr Sam Beckett stepped into the Quantum Leap accelerator and vanished. Now a new team has been assembled to restart the project in the hopes of understanding the mysteries behind the machine and the man who created it.”
Quantum Leap is set 30 years after the OG ‘90s series, featuring a new physicist, Dr Ben Song (played by Raymond Lee), who steps into the titular accelerator. The first “nail-biting season of watching Ben “leap” into other people’s bodies across time, the April 3 finale found the team preparing for the final showdown with Leaper X as they fought for the top-secret Quantum Leap project’s future — and their lives,” writes Bustle.
Who are the expected cast members of Quantum Leap Season 2?
Currently, NBC has not revealed the Season 2 cast, however, we expect the following cast members, who were featured in season one, also to continue working in Season 2:
- Dr Ben Song as Raymond Lee
- Ernie Hudson as Herbert “Magic” Williams
- Nanrisa Lee as Jenn Chou
- Mason Alexander Park as Ian Wright
- Caitlin Bassett as Addison Augustine
Unfortunately, Scott Bakula, who played Dr Sam Beckett in the original Quantum Leap from 1989-93, announced in September 2022, that he would not reprise his role in the future. Showrunner Gero expressed his aspirations for the actor to rejoin the team in an interview with Collider, saying:
I will respectfully always ask him to do the show…I think it could be really exciting. But I also completely respect his wishes. He knows our enthusiasm for him. He knows our enthusiasm, our love, and our reverence for the old show. It’s a no right now. It would be pretty amazing to have him back, but I don’t know what that timeline looks like, or even if it’s possible.”
