Netflix has confirmed the Ragnarok Season 3 filming has been concluded.
Ragnarok is a Norwegian fantasy series that first premiered in 2020. It is a contemporary retelling of Norse mythology that is set in the fictitious Norwegian town of Edda, which is plagued by industrial pollution and climate change.
As the series’ final season of filming came to an end, the cast said their final goodbyes to one another. The cast released a video expressing their pleasure after learning that the show had been picked up for a third season. They expressed gratitude to the audience for their avid viewing, which allowed Netflix to renew the series for a third season.
Ragnarok Season 3 release date
Ragnarok Season 3 filming came to an end recently, so no official release date has been announced yet. Although the third season’s post-production is well underway, it might not be able to air this year. Reportedly the earliest we can anticipate is in November 2022. Since the post-production work started last month, therefore it is safe to say Ragnarok will probably make a comeback in the first quarter of 2023.
With only six episodes per season, Ragnarok’s seasons are also rather brief, which means that production isn’t as involved as it is for programs with longer seasons. We should witness the conclusion of Ragnarok this year if they start soon.
What happened in Ragnarok Season 2?
Ragnarok Season 2 concluded when Fjor claims that he is in possession of the sole thing that can end Magne’s life, with Laurits on the edge of being killed. As he and Ran prepare to depart, Magne materializes in front of them and attacks them with Mjölnir, but they manage to flee. Ran and Fjor watch from the coast as Laurits releases Jörmungandr, the Midgard Serpent, into the water to conclude the episode. The tale will be wrapped up in the third season, which will also tie up all the loose ends.
What will happen in Ragnarok Season 3?
After season one ended, Ragnarok Season 2 continued Magne’s struggle against Jutul Industries and the wicked giants that rule the company. Unfortunately, earlier in this season, everyone’s favorite reincarnated deity lost his abilities. And it wasn’t until Magne created Mjolnir, the fabled hammer of Thor, that he was finally able to control his abilities.
Magne rained down some just lighting and thunder on Fjor and Ran’s automobile in the season two finale. However, it was frustrating that the two Jutuls managed to live to fight another day.
If it wasn’t emotional enough, Laurits kissed his baby Jörmungandr snake in the season two finale. It’s not nearly as filthy as it sounds, but it is strange. Laurits has now taken a significant role in the upcoming war as a result of the World Serpent’s release in the Norwegian fjords.
In addition to continuing to follow Magne’s conflict with the Jutuls, season three will also heavily emphasize Laurits’ ancestry.
