Meghan King’s three children will spend Thanksgiving with their father, Jim Edmonds, after the former Real Housewives of Orange County star temporarily lost custody, Page Six reported.
The holiday plans mean King will not have the children with her, despite currently having supervised visitation twice a week. A source quoted by Page Six said that the kids will celebrate Thursday’s holiday in Tennessee with Edmonds and his wife, Kortnie Edmonds.
King resides in Missouri, and it remains unknown how she plans to spend Thanksgiving, the report further said. Her representatives did not respond to requests for comment. Reps for Jim were also unavailable.
News of the custody shift surfaced last week. King, 41, temporarily lost custody of daughter Aspen, 9, and twin sons Hart and Hayes, 7.
A source alleged that King has a history of giving Hayes Ritalin without a diagnosis of attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). The same source said Child Protective Services opened an investigation after King allegedly asked Hayes’ school nurse to administer the unprescribed medication.
Jim, 55, and Kortnie were in Tennessee when CPS contacted him. They immediately flew back to Missouri, according to the source. A temporary restraining order was then granted.

A long-term custody decision is expected at a court hearing scheduled for Dec. 9. King has not issued a public statement about the case.
However, her former co-star Kelly Dodd defended her, calling King an “excellent” parent who should have “her babies back.” King and Jim married in 2014. She filed for divorce five years later, following a cheating scandal.
Their divorce was finalized in May 2021. The pair initially agreed to share joint custody. Tensions have since escalated.
The temporary custody arrangement is subject to review at a court hearing scheduled for December 9, when the long-term custodial status will be decided, multiple media outlets have reported since the temporary custody decision was made by the court bench.
In May, Kortnie called police on King for allegedly trespassing on property. King told responding officers that Jim was “incredibly emotionally abusive,” and denied any wrongdoing.
Her representative later said the incident had been “mischaracterized.” “Meghan briefly called to her daughter from the doorway, never stepped inside, had the door slammed in her face and calmly left her belongings on the porch,” the rep told us.
“Upon leaving, she was unexpectedly blocked by multiple police vehicles and treated in a way that felt unnecessarily hostile.”
Meanwhile, past tensions between King and Edmonds have also drawn attention. In May, law enforcement was called to Edmonds’ home after an altercation involving King and Kortnie over a purported trespassing claim, which was an event that ended with a consent order requiring the two women to keep their distance.
