But when it comes to being the mother of her two adorable sons, RZA Athelaston Mayers and Riot Rose Mayers. The chart-topping hitmaker, who has an estimated net worth of $1.4 billion, loves to give some very precious insights into her private life with her longtime partner in crime and father of her children, A$AP Rocky.
In a recent interview, the 35-year-old “Lift Me Up” singer spoke with Access Hollywood’s Scott Evans at her Fenty x Puma Creeper Phatty launch party in Los Angeles.
In the 4:14 minute clip, the wealthiest female musician was seen serving up a fashion slay while she opened up about the collaboration, and also reflected on being a mama to her two kids with rapper A$AP Rocky and how much they love their dad. “I loved him differently as a dad. This is major, major like, it’s a turn on. It’s just like, ‘Wow! What a leader, what a great, patient, loving (dad).” She continues to state, “And my kids are obsessed with him. I’m just a background, I’m an extra. Yep! It happens! … It doesn’t matter if it’s girls or boys, they love their dad differently and I love to see it.”

The comment made by the singer in the interview has since gone viral as the conversation revealed a different side of her life – her admiration for A$AP Rocky’s parenting skills, and his influence on her children speaks volumes about his ability to connect with young minds. One user even left a heartfelt comment under the YouTube video stating, “That is why it is SO IMPORTANT for Dad’s to stay in their children’s lives… Rih spoke a word. In the same interview, Rihanna mentions how starting a family has exceeded all her expectations of motherhood, quote: “You don’t have an idea. You just hope.” Further added, “I hope that I can have kids one day, and I hope I can have them in love. And I hope that I can be a part of a family that breaks generational curses and just moves forward and does new things and raises our kids better than we’ve been raised.”
However, the “Love on the Brain” singer who is known for her personality didn’t shy away from showing her fun side as she also joked that becoming a mom to a baby girl is still an item that remains on her parental bucket list. “So far, have daughters,” Rihanna said at the Fenty x Puma event when asked what she doesn’t have in her life. “I’m batting at 75% for a boy next time. So, we’ll just keep our fingers crossed.” The singer might soon be welcoming a third baby (never say never), as she clearly wants to have a baby girl with A$AP Rocky. On the other hand, Rocky, 35, also talked candidly about becoming a father to two sons with Rihanna, whom he has called “the love of my life,” by his side in an interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1, quote: “It’s so unexplainable. It’s just one of those things. I’m a member of our club now, like the dad club. You see a dad, you see me. I’m playing on, I’m a full dad now. Being outside and working and being creative, it drives more energy for you…to think and soak things up like a sponge now that I’m a dad, because I have a whole ‘nother perspective.”
He continued, “But it honestly helps you get home to your family and get home to your baby. And I can’t even explain it, man. You come home to heaven every day. I’m so thankful. God is good, man.”
The couple was first linked in 2013 after Rocky opened up for Rihanna’s Diamonds World Tour. On January 31, 2022, PEOPLE reported the couple was expecting their first child. On May 19, 2022, it was confirmed Rihanna had given birth to a boy, RZA Athelaston Mayers, named after the Wu-Tang Clan founder and leader RZA. During the Super Bowl LVII halftime show, Rihanna revealed that she was pregnant with the couple’s second child. Their second child, a son named Riot Rose, was born in August of that year.
