Ryan Reynolds will be honored with the Robin Williams Legacy of Laughter Award at the 11th annual Revels & Revelations fundraiser for Bring Change to Mind (BC2M). The prestigious night event will be held at New York’s City Winery on October 9. With this honor, the ‘La La Land’ actor will be joining the ranks of previous awardees, including Billy Crystal, Whoopi Goldberg, Ben Stiller, the Smith family, Dan and Eugene Levy, and Melissa McCarthy, as per The Hollywood Reporter.

What is the Robin Williams Legacy of Laughter Award?

BC2M is Glenn Close’s non-profit organization focused on fighting mental health stigmas. The cause holds deep significance for Close as her sister, Jessie, copes with bipolar disorder while her nephew, Calen, suffers from schizoaffective disorder.

The organization annually presents the Robin Williams Legacy Award, bestowed by his children Zak, Zelda and Cody. The late legendary actor fought a decade-long battle with depression before his demise.

“I am looking forward to a spectacular evening and am grateful for the generosity of my fellow artists who will gather to honor Ryan Reynolds and to inspire what I hope will be a record-breaking evening to sustain and create vital Bring Change to Mind Clubs throughout this country,” said Close about the upcoming event, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Performers of the night

The Revels & Revelations fundraiser features an impressive lineup of entertainment, including country music star Reba McEntire and comedian Amy Schumer. Musicians like Jake Wesley Rogers, Jayli Wolf, and BC2M ambassador and performer Wayne Brady will also take the stage. Moreover, Paul Shaffer will serve as the musical director, and Erich Bergen is returning as the host of the event.

Ryan Reynolds’ recent outing with Blake

Hollywood’s power couple, Ryan Reynolds and his wife, Blake Lively, were recently spotted sporting casual style just like real New Yorkers. The pair was photographed taking a stroll on September 20, looking extremely comfy.

Lively wore a loose-fitting black glossy pants and paired it with a purple sweater. She left her dirty blonde hair down and accessorized the whole ensemble with a purple-and-black crossbody bag along with chic round sunglasses.

The ‘Deadpool’ actor, on the other hand, matched his wife’s laid-back look as he rocked a striped tee with classic blue jeans and a baseball cap.
