Things are going extremely well for Sabrina Carpenter as she continues to conquer the U.K. charts for not the first or second, but the third consecutive week! Yes, all thanks to her track, ‘Espresso,’ Sabrina has made her way not only into the top charts but also into the hearts of music lovers. Talking about the U.S. singer and actor, her pop hit currently holds the no.1 position on the official U.K. singles charts. For the unversed, the latter was published on May 17, 2024 (Friday).

Espresso’s striking records

According to the Official Charts Company reports, Espresso currently has a record of a whopping 8.5 million streams. Meanwhile, Post Malone and Morgan Wallen’s collaboration, “I Had Some Help” (Republic Records), is at the number 2 position on the same charts. For the unversed, it is only fewer than 2,000 chart units behind Carpenter’s leader.

Adele’s love for Sabrina Carpenter

Adele might be currently busy with her boyfriend Rich Paul, but she’s currently also thinking about Sabrina Carpenter! Yes, this is something according to the “Nonsense” singer herself.

On Sunday, Sabrina Carpenter took to her official X page to respond to Adele’s recent show of affection for her hit single “Espresso.”

Initially, here is what Adele joked when remembering something about a late-night performance, ““As I got into bed last night, because [it] was a very late night for me, I found myself singing ‘I’m working late, ’cause I’m a singer’, that Sabrina Carpenter song — that song is my jam!” Hence, it seems like the “Hello” singer is already fangirling herself over Carpenter because of her latest song.

Let’s talk a bit more about Espresso!

“Espresso” was released on April 11, 2024, and exploded into an instant smash for Sabrina Carpenter. The excellent track reached No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100, which happens to be her highest career peak. Meanwhile, we already know that it has peaked for three consecutive weeks atop the U.K. Official Singles Chart. The Italo disco-tinged jam went viral instantly due to its cheeky “me espresso” lyric. And, of course, the above Adele-approved lyric has also become a fan favorite. Talking about Carpenter, she recently performed her new smash at the season finale of Saturday Night Live over the weekend and last month’s Coachella.
