Waiting to hear about Salvation Season 3? Here is what we know so far.
All the fans of the American series must have liked Salvation, the suspense drama that premiered on July 12, 2017, with its first season, and on June 25, 2018, with its second season. And now, you must be wondering whether or not we are going to have Salvation Season 3.
So, here is everything you need to know.
Will there be Season 3 of Salvation?
Brace yourself for some disappointment as Salvation Season 3 is canceled. CBS has made the decision to discontinue the show and made it quite clear that Salvation Season 2 was the last and the final of all. There has been no reason given for this decision made by CBS, but we suppose this sudden action may have something to do either with the plot or the reception of its earlier seasons. Salvation was not too bad nor too impressive and got mixed reviews from the critics too. There have been no further updates on Salvation Season 3 since then.
To all our incredible fans…. THANK YOU!!! from the bottom of our hearts. Here’s to all the good times over the past two seasons, and hopefully many more! #SalvationCBS #RenewSalvation #SalvationSeason3 #Salvies #WELOVEYOU pic.twitter.com/qdpuJvBUzp

Salvation Season 3 Trailer
Since Salvation Season 3 is a no-go, we don’t have a trailer too. But you can surely watch the trailer for the show here.
What could have been the plot of Salvation Season 3?
The show basically revolves around the discovery of an asteroid that will impact the Earth in just six months and the trends inside the US government as they rush to defend against this approaching asteroid. Along with the haste to avert tragedy, the series also shows that different people have different takes on this astronomical incident.
The show begins with Liam, a student at MIT who attempts to alert the US administration that an asteroid is on a collision course with Earth. He, with the help of millionaire Darius Tanz, manages to have a meeting with the US Deputy Secretary of Defense. The series progresses on this note, and we get to see a lot of drama and tension when the wicked performers get together.
Moreover, Salvation Season 2 did leave us with a huge cliffhanger revealing that the asteroid, named Samson, is not an asteroid at all. Therefore we are expecting to get an answer to this major question if we somehow do get Salvation Season 3.
