The “Gravity” actress is saying her final goodbyes to her late partner Bryan Randall.
Sandra Bullock’s sister Gesine Bullock-Prado made an Instagram post on Sunday, on what would have been Randall’s 58th birthday, announcing that Bullock released her late partner’s ashes on Snake River in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Gesine captured the video and captioned it, “Happy birthday, Bry. Sandy brought you to the river, just as she promised.”
Randall passed away from an ALS diagnosis on August 5th, which he and the family kept under wraps for three years before the former model succumbed to it. Randall’s family revealed at the time of his death in statements acquired by People Magazine, “Bryan chose early to keep his journey with ALS private and those of us who cared for him did our best to honor his request,” adding, “At this time we ask for privacy to grieve and to come to terms with the impossibility of saying goodbye to Bryan.”
Randall met the 59-year-old Oscar winner in 2015 when he photographed her son Louis’ birthday party at the time. Their relationship was open to the public eye that year when they attended Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux’s wedding. The two are parents to three children between them, which include, Bullock’s son Louis, 13, and daughter Laila, 11, plus Randall’s older daughter from a previous relationship.
In December 2021 during the Red Table Talk, the Ocean’s 8 actress called the photographer the love of her life. She also addressed the need to not get married to solidify their commitment. She said at the time, “I don’t wanna say do it like I do it, but I don’t need a paper to be a devoted partner and devoted mother,” adding, “I don’t need to be told to be ever present in the hardest of times. I don’t need to be told to weather a storm with a good man.”
