What happens when you discover that the person you thought you could trust the most is actually evil? That’s one of the worst things in life. Similar is the case in American Murder: The Family Next Door – the Netflix documentary which follows the 2018 Watts family murders. Directed by Jenny Popplewell, this Halloween-worthy content came out in September 2020. The film plays out like a mystery beginning with the real footage from the day Chris’s wife Shanann and their children went missing. This movie is a disturbing look at domestic violence that will leave you shocked as Chris and Shanann did not have a picture-perfect marriage life. At the end of the movie, the husband, Chris Watts, turns out to be the murderer and is arrested.
