Selling the OC Season 3: Renewal status, expected release date, cast and everything we know so far

Selling the OC Season 2: Here is everything we know so far

Selling bejeweled luxury mansions is not a cakewalk for regular real estate agents. But for the broker barbies of Oppenheim Group? It is money for jam!

What does the future hold for Selling the OC Season 3 now that Season 2 is on the brink of a Netflix release?

Reality TV has reinvented itself from over-the-top wannabe family dramas, where the drama exceeds familial values, to exemplary culinary contests, drama-filled catwalks with underweight models, and much more. But what truly caught the eye of keen viewers was the inauguration of a real estate show, Selling Sunset, also the mother series of Selling the OC. Selling Sunset broke viewership records and re-defined reality television while the Oppenheim Group spread its fangs to puncture into another slot of Netflix and introduce its spinoff series, Selling the OC. Season 1 of Selling the OC had a record-breaking success with the streamer giant, so much so that Netflix has tagged them as streamer staples.

Selling the OC Season 2 is set to stream on Netflix on the 8th of September, 2023, the timings for which will be provided below. But past the celebratory conundrums upon the arrival of a drama and luxury-filled new Season, one cannot help but ponder upon the arrival of Season 3 of Selling the OC. While it is too soon to speculate and touch upon immaculate details upon the same, we at Web News Observer have made an unbiased prediction on the arrival of the new Season according to some reliable sources. So continue reading to find out!

Selling the OC Season 2 and 3: A Double-Season Renewal

Selling the OC Season 2: Is it happening or not?

Looks like the O.G. is amping up the level of luxury housing this season and is ready to be drenched in big bucks!

Selling the OC reserved itself a double-season renewal from Netflix in January of 2023, leaving the fans thirsty for any information about the developments of Selling the OC Season 2 and 3. If you have been wandering in the dark like the rest of the ardent fandom, you have come to the right place. We have mind-boggling news for you regarding your much-awaited Season of Selling the OC, so continue reading!

Season 2 is scheduled to air on the 8th of September 2023, and based on the double renewal announcement by Netflix in January, we can expect Season 3 to arrive soon. We know there is a huge question mark imprinted on your faces, wondering if the lingering strike might cause havoc upon the impending arrival of Season 3.

The answer is no. While the ongoing WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes have gripped Hollywood by its windpipe and have successfully cut the circulation of regular scripted and live television off the 2023 release radar, non-scripted and reality TV shows are in the clear! Most networks, such as CBS, ABC, and others, have revised their fall schedules to include non-scripted shows and reruns of the promised new releases.

So we can expect Season 3 to be strike-proof!

Selling the OC Season 3 Release Date: Predictions

Selling the OC Season 2: Is it happening or not?

The first season of Selling the OC, a spinoff of the popular Netflix docuseries Selling Sunset, focused on a new set of realtors in The Oppenheim Group’s second office in Orange County. The episodes were bombarded with continuous get-to-know-you moments of our new group of realtors. On the other hand, “Selling the OC,” and “Selling Sunset” are among Netflix’s reality TV and real estate-related shows, which also include “Buying Beverly Hills,” “Buy My House,” “How to Build a Sex Room,” “Dream Home Makeover,” “Instant Dream Home,” and “Designing Miami.”

“We couldn’t be more excited to be returning to the OC for two more seasons,” executive producer Adam DiVello tells Tudum. Additionally, “Expect to see even more of what you already love about Selling the OC (from the real estate to the agents to the many unresolved issues) and get ready to go back to the beach!”

While we do not know the exact dates or even the potential dates around which Season 3 might be released, we can make a calculated guess on the same, following the patterns of the earlier seasons. Selling The OC season 1 was released on August 24, 2022, followed by the second installment this Friday, September 8, 2023. Considering the pattern, it looks like the third season will be released sometime between August and September 2024 unless there are outside forces that might speed up or postpone the release. No information about Season 3 other than a confirmation of its renewal is released as of yet. So stay tuned to this space as we will be sure to regularly update you along the process.

Every Season has a few additions to the Oppenheim Group, and this year, Season 2 also saw some new entries. Apart from potential new entries to Selling the OC Season 3, the following members from Season 2 will likely diffuse into Season 3:

  • Jason Oppenheim
  • Brett Oppenheim
  • Alex Hall
  • Alexandra Jarvis
  • Alexandra Rose
  • Austin Victoria
  • Brandi Marshall
  • Gio Helou
  • Kayla Cardona
  • Lauren Shortt
  • Polly Brindle
  • Sean Palmieri
  • Tyler Stanaland

Apart from this, there is an unconfirmed Alexandria joining the cast this season. Yup, Alexandra Harper (who goes by Ali) posted a video on Instagram from the show’s red carpet premiere with the cast and updated her bio to say, “Selling the OC @Netflix.” That would make four Alexandras keep track: Alex, Ali, Jarvis, and Rose.

Until Netflix coughs up more intel on Season 3 potential join-ins, keep calm and stay tuned.

*Major Spoiler Alert*

Let’s refresh our memories with a Selling OC Season 1 rundown:

Selling the OC Season 1 was about reputations, romances, and relationships being the line when The Oppenheim Group’s Orange County team returns. These young and hungry agents will risk everything while navigating a hot real estate market and even hotter rumors.

Season 1 of “Selling the OC,” premiered in August 2022 and focuses on “How does the cast of Selling the OC really feel about this season’s drama?” Find out now and watch Alex Hall, Alexandra Jarvis, Alexandra Rose, Kayla Cardona, Polly Brindle, Brandi Marshall, Tyler Stanaland, Gio Helou, Sean Palmieri, and Lauren Shortt spill all the tea as they watch this season’s juiciest scenes. Take a look at the official episode guide below:

Episode 1: Paradise Comes with a Price: Alex Hall takes new agent Kayla under her wing. At the official office launch party, the tension between Alexandra Rose and the other agents boils over.

Episode 2: Them Tables… They Turn: Gio hosts a brokers’ open house, where he raises an issue with Alex. Three agents celebrate a triple birthday. Brandi works with a retired NBA player.

Episode 3: Testing the Waters: Trying to reel in her first listing, Kayla turns to Alex for help. Rose and Jarvis work a promising new lead. Alex and Gio butt heads at the beach.

Episode 4: A Not-So-Happy Hour: Kayla, struggling to balance everything, doesn’t get much sympathy from Polly. Alex closes a deal. Austin’s lifestyle puts pressure on his marriage.

Episode 5: An Off-Market Offer: Scandal sweeps through the office after Kayla crosses a line. Alex and Jason tour a $105 million stunner while Polly shows Gio’s client a fixer-upper.

Episode 6: Co-listing Chaos: Tyler and Kayla clear the air, but Alex isn’t ready to move on. Polly works with Gio to make a big scale. Rose opens up about her difficult childhood.

Episode 7: Upping the Ante: Polly and Jarvis struggle to keep things civil. Tyler shows his first big listing. Gio hosts a poker night where drama erupts between office cliques.

Episode 8: Turning Tides: Kayla tries to keep things on track with a difficult client. At a yacht party for the team, fun in the sun gives way to an explosive personality clash.

Seems like Season 3 will focus on bigger properties, probably involving well-known celebrities, bigger catfights and rumors, budding relationships, and lots of scandalous acts. A prospect Season 3 can focus on is the drama that flared between Tyler and Kayla when she tried to kiss him while he was married to Pitch Perfect star Brittany Snow. Ever since they parted ways, he is linked to Alex Hall, which makes things between Kayla and Tyler super awkward. If this premise is not touched upon in Season 2, it will definitely make it to Season 3. Well, as of now, this is all the intel we could gather on Selling the OC: Season 3, as the streamer had also remained mute in order to avoid any spoilers. Additionally, we may be at liberty to make more assumptions on the plotline once Selling the OC Season 2 releases.
