Imagine one day you wake up and realize that you have traveled 20 years ahead in time. Exciting, thrilling, and adventurous, right? That is what happens to Rebel Wilson in the upcoming movie Senior Year. But she isn’t time traveling for sure, and it might not be as exciting as you thought it would.
The movie is about a cheerleader who slips into a twenty-year coma after falling off a pyramid. Now, she’s a 32-year-old-woman and upset about not being able to finish high school, so she’s back in senior year, and the one thing she decides to do is attend her final year and earn her long-deserved prom queen crown. What could go wrong, you know? But is it as simple as it looks? We’ll have to find out.
Senior Year is an upcoming comedy film directed by Alex Hardcastle (in his feature film directorial debut) from an original screenplay by Andrew Knauer, Arthur Pielli, and Brandon Scott Jones.

Senior Year Trailer
Netflix has released the trailer for the upcoming comedy-drama movie, Senior Year, on April 11, 2022.
You can watch the trailer below:
The trailer clearly shows that there will be many references from the last 20 years that Rebel has missed. She will be shocked about Madonna, asking if Lady Gaga is the copycat of Madonna as she doesn’t know about her and Harry Potter. Rebel also has to face many difficulties in her senior year, as revealed in the trailer. Upon going back to high school, the cheerleader will find out, thanks to Gen-Z, that cellphones have greatly improved from her time and that high school kids were very wrong in pretending to be someone that they are not just to become the popular kids of the school, just like she used to do in her time.
The trailer looks funny and interesting. The concept is obviously not new, but Wilson is known for her comedic roles, and we can expect her to ace this one, too.
Her performances in films like Bridesmaids, Bachelorette, What to Expect When You’re Expecting, Pitch Perfect, and its sequel, Isn’t It Romantic, A Few Best Men, and Jojo Rabbit were applauded by critics and viewers, so we’re hoping for the best.
