The 13-member K-pop band recently dropped their first-ever English single, Darl+ing, on April 15, 2022, at 1 pm KST. Like the Carats expected, the song has already hit number 1 on the Top Songs chart of iTunes as of 8 am KST. This holds true across 34 different regions that include the Philippines, Egypt, Singapore, Indonesia, and more. Well, that surely proves that the track is an instant hit.
Darl+ing has also entered the top 10 in 46 different regions till now. Moreover, the first English single by SEVENTEEN has also ranked at number 1 on numerous Japanese real-time music charts, including mo-mu and Line Music. For the unversed, this digital single is a pre-release track from the K-pop group’s fourth studio album scheduled to release in May.

What went inside the song?
Darl+ing comes with a story that the SEVENTEEN members wish to tell the Carats around the world. The best part here is that they have adopted a unique way to express their emotions through the song. From what we can figure out, the single teaches us that we can become perfect only when we are us. For the unversed, SEVENTEEN’s Woozi is the mastermind behind Darl+ing. He is the vocal leader of the group as well as a producer. Assisting him was none other than the singer and producer Byeong Eun himself.

You can find SEVENTEEN’s first-ever English single available on Apple Music with Dolby Atmos-supported sound. This collaboration is the K-pop band’s way of allowing their global fans to experience their music in a creative and original way. The MV teaser
It was just sometime back that SEVENTEEN unveiled the official MV teaser leaving the Carats excited about the same. Moreover, the song’s first mood teaser was unveiled by the group’s agency, PLEDIS Entertainment, on April 7, 2022. It includes a beautiful yellow wall with pretty smiley faces and other polaroid images that seem to invoke nostalgia.
The same day, SEVENTEEN also unveiled the title poster of Darl+ing on social media. In short, the boyband left no stone unturned in promoting the melodious English single before releasing it on April 16, 2022. Congratulations to all the members of the team for releasing such a marvelous single!
