Shakira spends Christmas with her sons; What are their plans for New Year?

Waka Waka and Hips Don’t Lie fame Shakira is currently going through a tough phase in her personal life, after her split with long-time partner Gerard Pique. As per the latest reports, the Columbian singer spent her first Christmas after the painful separation with Pique in Dubai. The singer spent the festive season with her sons, Milan, and Sasha, who are nine and seven years, respectively. Shakira also posted a picture from their recent holiday on her official Instagram handle which has left fans excited.

The singer’s cryptic caption

Shakira took to her official Instagram handle and shared a picture with her sons Milan and Sasha. We can see the trio enjoying their Christmas holidays in a desert. The singer also captioned her post that reads, “In the desert, this Christmas, searching for serenity.” The super mom and her sons are seen dressed in Arab costumes, and Shakira is seen holding a falcon.

The New Year plans

If media reports are to be believed, Shakira and her ex Gerard Pique’s sons, Milan and Sasha are planning to spend their New Year with their father. The kids will reportedly spend time now with their mother Shakira, who is expected to stay in the UAE till December 30, 2022. Later, she is expected to send the kids with the footballer who is reportedly planning to take them on a holiday ahead of the New Year celebrations.

Shakira recently got back with a rather intense response regarding her ongoing legal battle against the tax authorities in Spain. For the unversed, the Waka Waka singer is reportedly accused of not paying around 12 million pounds in tax between the years 2012 and 2014. The reports suggest that Shakira may end up with an 8-year jail sentence including a fine of €23 million if found guilty in the impending tax fraud trial. However, a date for the said trial in Barcelona is yet to be set.

Talking about Shakira, the singer believes that she’s been persecuted while accusing the Spanish Treasury of using certain unacceptable methods with the intention to damage her reputation and also oblige her to come to a settlement agreement.
