The BTS wave does not seem to rescind anytime soon. It has finally reached the shore of the Marvel Cinematic Universe with its actors picking out their individual biases from the group. Simu Liu featured as the lead in Marvel’s Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, recently revealed in an interview that his BTS bias is Rap Monster or popularly known as RM. He called the leader of the group ‘the heart and soul’ of the group.
Simu, in an interview with Jason Y, mentioned, “My bias is Rap Monster. I’ll tell you why. He feels very much like the mouthpiece of BTS, like the heart and soul. And it takes a lot to like assume that responsibility. Right? To be able to speak in an eloquent manner, on behalf of an entire group. The White House! He’s kind of been there every step of the way, and also, you know, one of the producers of the group as well… I mean what’s not to love?” The real name of RM is Kim Namjoon.
However, this is not the first time that Shang Chi’s lead is open about his love for BTS. Just last year, the netizens saw Simu Liu vibing to Halsey and BTS’ Boy with Luv. In 2018, replying to one of his fan’s tweets questioning whether he likes BTS or not, he replied by quoting one of the lines from the BTS’ song Mic Drop, ‘Everyday we vibin’/mic drop BAM.’ Not only that, but when BTS won the American Music Awards in 2021, Simu liked the post of their victory.

Apart from his famous Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Simu Liu was featured in the documentary thriller Last Breath, along with Woody Harrelson and Djimon Hounsou and directed by Alex Parkinson. He will also be starring in the upcoming 2023 film, Barbie along with Margot Robbie, Ryan Gosling, Alexandra Shipp, Kate McKinnon, Hari Nef, and America Ferrera.
When it comes to BTS, unfortunately, the announcement of the group’s hiatus has broken the hearts of millions of their fans worldwide, otherwise known as the ‘ARMY’.
