The good news has finally arrived for the fans, as the beloved series will most definitely return to the screen with the second season!
It is no surprise that the show is returning for another season, as it has quietly gained traction last summer, ranking among the most anticipated fall series alongside IP heavyweights such as The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, Walker: Independence, The Winchesters, and Quantum Leap. And, like the previous season’s CBS comedy Ghosts, another show with no recognizable title or big stars, So Help Me Todd has grown in popularity through word of mouth, recently reaching series highs for two weeks in a row.
Furthermore, we would like to point out that the exact launch date has yet to be determined, as the series was recently renewed by the network. As a result, any official statement about the show’s official release date and time slot is still subject to network verification. So, this is just speculation, but the next season could follow suit and be released in the fall of the 2023-2024 television season. It is expected to follow a similar schedule, with new episodes airing every Thursday at 9/8c on CBS and later on Paramount Plus.

So Help Me Todd Season 2: What to expect in the new season?
The series follows a talented but directionless private investigator, who begrudgingly agrees to work at his overbearing mother’s law firm. So, it is expected to continue the plot which follows whose instincts as a private investigator are good, but he lacks direction and is the black sheep of his family. At the insistence of his strong-willed mother, Margaret, Todd reluctantly agrees to work at her Portland, Oregon, law firm as an in-house investigator. Margaret believes in strictly adhering to the law, which is at complete odds with Todd’s tendency to bend the law to navigate sticky situations.
“So Help Me Todd has charmed viewers with the incomparable chemistry between Marcia Gay Harden and Skylar Astin,” said Amy Reisenbach, president of CBS Entertainment. “With the series’ unique blend of captivating legal drama, laugh-out-loud humor, and intriguing family dysfunction, it’s no wonder the audience continues to grow.
