Somebody Somewhere Season 2 Plot

*Season 1 spoilers*

In Season 1 tragedy dawned upon Sam when she lost her sister and with that lost the motivation in life. However, that’s not how the world works. One needs to accept the loss, move on and try to find happiness in life. So Sam starts the same journey, accepting the loss, moving on, and finding what makes her happy. But the path was going to be pretty rocky with the kind of relationship she had with her alcoholic mother, Mary Jo, and another sister, Tricia.

Sam unexpectedly found a friend in her coworker, Joel when he helped her through a difficult day at work. Joel invited her to his ‘choir’ organization where societal ‘misfits’ gather to pursue their love for music. With the group, Sam was able to reignite her love for singing and all of it started to help her cope with her midlife crisis.

However, the familial problems kept knocking on her doors again and again. Mary Jo was sent to a rehabilitation facility, Sam’s father Ed struggled with finances, Tricia got cheated on by her husband Rick with Charity, her business partner.

The choir too went into jeopardy when they lost their practice area. Joe too found a partner in Michael while trying to follow his own dreams.

Somebody Somewhere Season 2 will build upon the events on the first season, focusing on Sam’s own dilemmas, hunting a new location for choir practice, Tricia’s ways to cope with betrayal, situations with her parents, and more. We might see more new entities enter Sam’s life and how she will be perceiving all of it.
