Are you among the ones who were eagerly waiting to get some updates on Squid Game? Then congratulations! We have got a good piece of news exclusively for you. Months after the success of the first season, Netflix has now officially announced that the much-loved South Korean drama is in for a second season. It was on June 12 IST that the popular streaming platform took to social media and made a reference to the famous Red Light, Green Light phrase from the game in the series. It further captioned on Instagram, “On your marks. Get set. Greenlight. Squid Game continues.”

Netflix’s surprise for the Squid Game fans does not end here. Along with the witty caption, the streaming platform also attached the official teaser video featuring Younghee, the motion-sensing doll which has haunted millions virtually!

Director’s message

The short teaser clip is followed by a special message from the writer, director, and the executive producer of Squid Game, Hwang Dong Hyuk. He confirms in the message about the return of Lee Byung Hun as the Front Man and Lee Jung Jae as Seong Gi Hun in the second season. Hyuk has further teased Gong Yoo’s possible return as the man in the suit.
