Good news for every Star Wars fan! The animated series of Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 2 is ready to drop on Disney+ very soon. Lucasfilm has announced that the second season will be served before the viewers sometime in the fall of this year.
For the uninitiated, it is the American animated series that streams on Disney+, which was created by Dave Filoni. It is a part of the huge franchise of StarWars, and also a spin-off from the series Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Hence, Clone 99, or The Bad Batch is a bunch of elite troopers who undertake mercenary missions after the wake of the Clone Wars. This series is produced by Lucasfilm Animation, teamed by Jennifer Corbett as the lead writer and Brad Rau as the director.
The first season of Star Wars: The Bad Batch aired on May 4, 2021. It had 16 episodes and was critically acclaimed and warmly received by the fans. Now that Season 2 was supposed to happen, the fans have waited long enough, that too patiently. The wait is over! The Bad Batch Season 2 Release Date
The renewal of the show was formally announced on August 5, 2021. It’s been a long wait till then. But, Disney+ has finally released the teaser and trailer. Though the date has not been declared officially, we can surely expect the show to stream in a couple of months.

The trailer is here. Yay for that! You can watch it right over here. According to the Disney+ press release, ‘The second season of “Star Wars: The Bad Batch” consists of 16 episodes and is set to premiere this fall exclusively on Disney+.’
The Bad Batch Season 2: What can we expect?
Disney+ has left a little hint in its press release. They said,’ Months have passed since the events on Kamino and the Bad Batch continue their journey navigating the Empire after the fall of the Republic. They will cross paths with friends and foes, both new and familiar, as they take on a variety of thrilling mercenary missions that will take them to unexpected and dangerous new places.’ Jennifer Corbett in the recent Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 2 panel has confirmed that ‘some time has passed ‘ between the 2 seasons. She did share some more information which can bring on some spoilers. Hence we are refraining from it.
Apart from the storyline, The Bad Batch will have a new look and the clip itself gives out that. For instance, the Bad Batch’s armor has got some patchwork while Omega is sporting her own helmet. Brad Rau is definitely proud of this new innovation and it is evident in his words. He said in that same panel,’ We iterated on these characters to get that kit-bashed, worn-through feeling, which really mirrors where they’re at at this point, very early on in Season 2.’
When asked if Crosshair be redeemed, Rau teased with an even mysterious answer, ‘ Does he want to be redeemed right now? He’s a very interesting guy.’
