A teenage superhero embarks on an exciting trip to uncover her abilities and capabilities. Many fans have stated that Stargirl is one of the best superheroes shows on television.
DC’s Stargirl, or simply Stargirl, is a Geoff Johns-created American superhero television series that debuted on the streaming service DC Universe.
It is based on Johns and Lee Moder’s DC Comics character Courtney Whitmore. The series follows Courtney Whitmore, a high school student who discovers the celestial staff and becomes the inspiration for a new generation of superheroes known as the Justice Society of America.
The sitcom was renewed for a second season in July 2020, dubbed Summer School, and will broadcast on The CW on August 10, 2021. The series was renewed for a third season, dubbed Frenemies, set to premiere in 2022.
Here is everything we know about the renewal status of Stargirl Season 3.
Is the Stargirl renewed for Season 3?
Yes, fans can rejoice as Stargirl Season 3 is definitely happening. The third season of The CW’s Stargirl is titled Stargirl: Frenemies. It was reported last year that the series was officially renewed for a third season on May 3, 2021, one day before the launch of its second season.

Stargirl Season 3 Release Date
While there is no official release date, production for Stargirl Season 3 began in October 2021. Given that the second season, Stargirl: Summer School, began production around the same time of year and was released in August, Season 3 is likely to be released in the summer this year.
The good news is that Season 3 received a renewal update well before Season 2, which contributed to the completion of Stargirl Season 3 production on schedule. Furthermore, the production of Stargirl Season 3 has officially finished, which was announced by none other than the series’ star, Brec Bassinger.

As a result, fans may not have to wait for an extended period of time for updates on the release dates of Stargirl Season 3.
Stargirl Season 3 Episodes
The network and show developer has yet to release the exact number of episodes as well as the titles. It is expected that the series would feature at least 13 episodes, similar to how the previous installments, Season 1 and Season 2, each had 13 episodes.
Stargirl Season 3 is expected to follow a similar trend unless the studio has a surprise aspect planned for the fans to look forward to, which may result in a higher number of episodes.
Fans must wait and anticipate such updates for Stargirl Season 3 until they are officially revealed.
On the other hand, each episode of the Stargirl series lasts 42–53 minutes. Thus, the series is expected to follow a similar pattern in this regard as well.
Stargirl Season 3 Teaser
The teaser was released on November 3, 2021, which shows DC’s Stargirl will return for a third season on The CW in 2022, with Keith David reprising his role as Mister Bones.
What to expect in Stargirl Season 3?
The conclusion of Stargirl Season 2 demonstrates that the new JSA is capable of rising above the faults of the earlier generations, as the young team handles the Eclipso crisis in a far more successful and less homicidal manner than the original squad.
On the surface, it appears that a lot of the dynamics among characters will change in Season 3, especially since a slew of villains chose to stay out in Blue Valley for a variety of reasons.
Given that the season’s teaser, as mentioned above, shows that it will be titled Stargirl: Frenemies, this will undoubtedly be a prominent subject.
Whether they’re foes or not, the fact that Blue Valley now has more qualitative firepower than ever before is probably for the best, given that the Season 2 finale’s cliffhanger sets up the likely villains of the upcoming season: The Helix Institute and its apparent commander, Mister Bones.
Where to stream Stargirl Season 3?
Stargirl Season 3 will be able on various streaming platforms just like the previous seasons of the franchise. It may change based on some regions about which details will be released soon.
