Station 19 Season 7 is not coming in July 2023

Station 19 Season 7 Release Date: When will it premiere?

The much-awaited seventh season of Station 19 was ordered by ABC on April 20, 2023, and since then the fans have been patiently waiting for any new updates regarding its potential release date even though we are six months into 2023, and as of writing this, we can definitely inform the readers that there is no chance that the beloved action-drama series will make its comeback in July 2023!

We are certain of this because one of the major reasons for its delay is the ongoing 2023 Writers Guild of America strike, due to which the writing for the season has not started as per schedule, thus causing a major delay in the production of new episodes which usually begin in the summer season. As a result, it is currently unknown when the next season will air on the ABC network.

That’s not it! Many new reports also highlight that ABC has decided to put a hold on all the major production of the shows until 2024, which might have been the direct result of the writer strike, which doesn’t seem to be concluding anytime soon. Lastly, to add an official stamp to these latest reports, the new co-showrunner, Peter Paige, has also stated that the season likely will not premiere until 2024.

The fans should keep a closer eye on the social media handles of the network to learn about any new updates and developments. We speculate that the network might consider releasing a revised list in the coming weeks, which will confirm that the premiere date for Station 19 Season 7 is set for early to mid-2024 at the same time slot every Thursday at 8:00 p.m. on ABC.

In the meantime, check out the official renewal announcement as shared on Station 19’s Twitter handle, quoting, “More episodes of #Station19 is coming in hot with Season 7.”

Station 19 Season 7 Plot: What to expect?

Not much has been revealed about the plot of the next season, as it is way too early for the network to reveal such crucial plotlines, which can lead to early spoilers. But we are certain that the series’ new chapter will expand on its basic premise, which follows, “In Seattle, all firefighters are also trained EMTs and the crew at Station 19 is second to none. Working in 24-hour shifts, these professionals spend so much time together that they build relationships, unlike any others.”

In addition to this, the new co-showrunner, Peter Paige, stated, “I’m beyond honored to be handed the reins to Station 19 – a show I love, full of incredible, complex characters, and resonant, important stories. To get to partner with a talent like Zoanne as showrunner truly makes it all the more exciting – we share a similar vision for the show, and we’ve got some incredible twists and turns planned for the coming season.”

This highlights that the next season will be as action-packed as the prior seasons!

“I feel incredibly honored to be entrusted with this dynamic and relevant show alongside Peter,” Clack said. “The diversity of the cast, writers, and crew in addition to their enormous talent and dedication to their craft makes this a thrilling adventure to undertake. We are excited about the stories we get to tell using this worldwide platform and both understand the responsibility of being able to share them as we reach millions of homes weekly. Many thanks to Krista and Shondaland for this opportunity and their faith in us.”

There is also no doubt clear that the next season will continue from the sixth season’s finale episode, “Glamorous Life,” which showcased the team attending the Firefighters Ball, where Warren will receive his Medal of Valor. After some encouragement from Miranda, Warren accepts the award in honor of those who could not be saved. Dixon is there because his wife oversees the ball. Gibson notices a pregnant waitress named Nanette.

Later, we learn that Ross privately tells Herrera that she will be named captain. The news leaks out, and Hughes wants to celebrate, which upsets Ruiz. Ruiz and Hughes argue about their relationship. Later, Gibson catches Ruiz kissing Kate Powell. When smoke comes out of a wall, Ross has Herrera take command to find the source. She extinguishes the fire in the basement but notices that the floor above is about to collapse.

She tries to warn the guests, but people, including Ross, Dixon, and Nanette, fall into the hole. Bishop and DeLuca find Nanette and perform an emergency delivery of her baby. Sullivan finds and revives Ross, and they make up. Montgomery finds Dixon, but he succumbs to his injuries and dies. The situation gets under control when, suddenly, Gibson collapses. Station 19 Season 7 Episodes: Where to stream?

Even though the exact number of episodes for Station 19 Season 7 has yet to be announced, the new co-showrunner Zoanne Clack, has confirmed that the season will be shortened as a direct result of the strike, which is a bit disappointing, but probably the best move for the show to at least release new episodes rather than being on a prolonged hiatus. We highly urge viewers to catch up with the prior episodes of the sixth season to get an idea of how the story will unfold.

All the prior seasons of Station 19 are currently available to stream on ABC, FuboTV, or Hulu Plus,  depending on the viewer’s location, with preferred membership plans that the users can choose from. In addition to this, we would like to highlight that the network hasn’t released any new promotional stuff for the seventh season as the release date hasn’t been disclosed, leaving a lot of time for marketing to begin.
