Stranger Things 4 Release Date
We finally know when Stranger Things 4 is coming to Netflix and surprisingly, there are two release dates. Netflix announced that the fourth season will be released in two parts, with the first batch of episodes, called Volume 1, landing on May 27. Volume 2 will follow on July 1, so fans won’t get another long delay.
“With nine scripts, over 800 pages, almost two years of filming, thousands of visual effects shots, and a runtime nearly twice the length of any previous season, Stranger Things 4 was the most challenging season yet, but also the most rewarding one,” series creators Matt and Ross Duffer wrote in an open letter to fans. “Everyone involved is incredibly proud of the results, and we can’t wait to share it with you.”

Stranger Things 4: Is there a trailer?
Unfortunately, there is no official trailer for Stranger Things 4 but we got the first sneak peek into the series 2 years ago when the official YouTube channel of Stranger Things released a teaser trailer. The video concludes with the message, “We’re not in Hawkins anymore.” Check out the video below:
To everyone’s surprise, in February 2020, a teaser arrived, confirming a very important return, Hopper’s alive! After perishing at the end of Season 3, the Duffer brothers have confirmed that David Harbour’s character will be back.

In May 2021, a new teaser arrived, It’s a flashback scene, and we can hear Eleven’s labored breathing emanating from her room. “Eleven, are you listening?” Matthew Modine’s Dr. Brenner, the one-time director of the lab, asks. Interesting.

The official synopsis of Stranger Things 4 reads: “It’s been six months since the Battle of Starcourt, which brought terror and destruction to Hawkins. Struggling with the aftermath, our group of friends is separated for the first time — and navigating the complexities of high school hasn’t made things any easier. In this most vulnerable time, a new and horrifying supernatural threat surface, presenting a gruesome mystery that, if solved, might finally put an end to the horrors of the Upside Down.”
*Spoiler Ahead*
In the last season, we saw Joyce, Will, and Jonathan packed up their home in Hawkins and jumped in a removals van with Eleven in tow following Hopper’s death (spoiler: it wasn’t actually a death).
According to a statement from Netflix, “Hopper will “face dangers both human…and other.” But back in the U.S., a new horror is beginning to surface, something long-buried, something that connects everything. Season 4 is shaping up to be the biggest and most frightening season yet, and we cannot wait for everyone to see more. In the meantime — pray for the American.”
It will be exciting to see Hopper and how the story will unfold now that he’s a prisoner in Russia. The Soviets are not done yet. They have a Demogorgon in captivity, is that the evidence that Gate hasn’t been properly shut, but simply stalled? Or are Demogorgons able to open their own Gates in reality?. Eleven has also lost her psychokinetic powers and we’re hoping that her powers will return in this season.

Stranger Things 4: Who is returning and will there be newcomers?
We are not expecting to see a lot of changes in the original cast. Finn Wolfhard (Mike), Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin), Caleb McLaughlin (Lucas), Sadie Sink (Max), Natalia Dyer (Nancy), Joe Keery (Steve), Cara Buono (Karen), Winona Ryder (Joyce), Noah Schnapp (Will), Charlie Heaton (Jonathan) and, of course, Millie Bobby Brown (Eleven) are all back. As is David Harbour’s Hopper. Maya Hawke (Robin) has been confirmed to return.
Coming to the newcomers, Jamie Campbell Bower (The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones, Sweeney Todd) will play Peter Ballard, who is described as being “an orderly at a psychiatric hospital” and is “tired of the brutality he witnesses day after day”.
Eduardo Franco (Booksmart, The Binge) joins the cast as Argyle, Jonathan’s new best friend. Sherman Augustus (Into the Badlands, Westworld) will portray Lt. Colonel Sullivan, who believes he can stop the evil in Hawkins. Mason Dye (Bosch, The Goldbergs) will play Jason Carver, a rich, handsome, teenager who’s dating the most popular girl in school.

Will there be a season 5 for Stranger Things?
Stranger Things 4 will not be the last and we know this for a fact. “Season 4 won’t be the end,” showrunner Ross Duffer told The Hollywood Reporter. “We know what the end is, and we know when it is. [The coronavirus pandemic] has given us time to look ahead, figure out what is best for the show. Starting to fill that out gave us a better idea of how long we need to tell that story.” This statement clearly points to the fact that there will be a season 5! So, fans can finally rejoice.
