Surfside Girls Plot
According to the official press release by Apple TV+ states, quote, “The show is based on the bestselling IDW graphic novel series of the same name by author Kim Dwinell, the live-action series follows best friends Sam and Jade as they solve supernatural mysteries on their sleepy California beach town. These best friends must combine their polar opposite strengths of imagination and logic in order to solve the supernatural mysteries that hide just beneath the surface of their town.”
Moreover, the viewers also get to see that the best friends, Jade and Sam, are prepared to enjoy their summer of surfing in the sunshine. The two discover a mystery involving a pirate ship and a cursed treasure that is said to be buried beneath Surfside’s famous Danger Point bluff when they are confronted by a ghost.
After meeting Remi, a pirate spirit, Sam decides to help him break the curse, while Jade is eager to find a rational explanation for ghosts in the realm of science. To find the truth, Sam and Jade must combine their disparate logical and creative viewpoints. They are committed to putting the puzzle pieces together, learning the truth, and defending Surfside as a whole.
Surfside Girls Episodes
This series is co-developed by WGA Award winner and showrunner May Chan and will include a 10-episode which is speculated to debut globally with the first two episodes on Friday, August 19, 2022, followed by one new episode weekly every Friday through October 14, 2022, just like all the other original series.
America Young (Legacies) will direct and executive produce the first two episodes. We’d also like to point out that, as of August 17, 2022, the exact episode titles and synopsis for the upcoming episodes cannot be confirmed, which will be disclosed once the episode starts to premiere on a weekly basis.

Surfside Girls Cast and Crew
“Surfside Girls” stars Miya Cech (‘Marvelous and the Black Hole,” “Rim of the World”), YaYa Gosselin (“We Can be Heroes,” “FBI: Most Wanted”) and Spencer Hermes-Rebello (“Troppo”). The series is produced by Endeavor Content and IDW Entertainment and co-developed, written and executive produced by Chan, who also serves as showrunner.
Paul Stupin (“Switched at Birth,” “Dawson’s Creek”) serves as executive producer. Diaz and Sagalowsky Diaz co-developed and serve as writers and executive producers. America Young (“Roswell, New Mexico,” “Legacies”) directs, and executive produces the first two episodes. Lydia Antonini (“Locke & Key,” “Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn,” “October Faction”) also serves as executive producer on the series.
