After months of waiting, the network has officially confirmed that the series will return this year by disclosing that S.W.A.T. Season 6 will be premiering new episodes on Friday, October 7, 2022. The sixth season seems to be staying in the same time slot at 8 p.m. (ET/PT) on CBS.

CBS hasn’t yet released the synopsis for the upcoming season, which makes it very difficult to understand the possible plotlines from the new episodes. It is anticipated that the new season will continue the storyline from the last episode of the fifth season, titled, Farewell, released on May 22, 2022. The official synopsis of the episode states, “When control of a university chemistry lab is seized, the team races to thwart a devastating terror attack.”

S.W.A.T. Season 6 is anticipated to include 10 to 18 episodes with an average runtime of roughly 43–44 minutes, as in the previous seasons that premiered on a weekly basis. On the other hand, the network did release the synopsis of the first episode, which gives a short insight into how the season starts, which is mentioned below.

S6E1: Thai Hard – October 7, 2022: The episode is directed by Billy Gierhart and written by Sarah Alderson. The official synopsis of the episode states, “During a trip to Bangkok to train alongside Thailand’s premiere S.W.A.T. team, Hondo and his former military buddy Joe stumble upon a wide-ranging heroin operation with ties to Los Angeles and find themselves on the run from a powerful drug kingpin.”

Moreover, the second episode is titled “Thai Another Day,” which is scheduled to release on October 14, 2022, and the title of the third episode is “Woah Black Betty,” which was released on October 21, 2022.
