What is the production status of Sweet Magnolias Season 3?
The filming of the third season took place in Covington and Atlanta in the state of Georgia in the United States. The updates on filming and production of the season were constantly shared by the cast and crew via Instagram. For instance, on July 1, the actor Joanna Garcia Swisher who will reprise her role in the third season updated her fans regarding the eminent filming of the same by showcasing her newly dyed hair. As per the reports, Norman Buckley, who served as a director of numerous episodes of the show, is expected to direct again in the upcoming installment of Sweet Magnolias. In conversation with TVLine, Sheryl J. Anderson throws light upon the way things are structured in the second season. In regards to Dana Sue’s slashed tires, Anderson comments:
“I will just say she has a past in common with our ladies and some other folks in town,” adding, “She’s been away for a while, but she has come back with an agenda. She has come home to settle some scores.”
She hinted at the return of Victoria and other “troublemakers” in the future as well. Not only that, but she also implied the continuation of Dana Sue’s three-way relationship which happens to be at a standstill.
