Ever since season 1 of Sweet Tooth was released on Netflix, people have been twiddling with their thumbs, hoping to meet their favorite characters all over again. If you’re hoping that we will provide you with some good news regarding the release date, then you’re wrong, and we couldn’t be more sorry for it.
Unfortunately, Netflix hasn’t dropped any official release date for Sweet Tooth Season 2. However, it’s not all bad here. The good news is that the production on Season 2 has already wrapped, and it is finally in the post-production process.
When it made its debut in June 2021, Sweet Tooth received a lot of fame and gained a lot of traction. As a result, Netflix decided to renew the show for the second season.
In January 2022, actor Christian Convery posted on Instagram that confirmed that Sweet Tooth would be returning. Later, during Netflix Geeked Week, a video was released that featured some of the cast and crew on set. It revealed that the production of the show had officially wrapped. When will Sweet Tooth season 2 possibly arrive on Netflix?
Since the post-production process has just begun, Sweet Tooth season 2 is expected to release probably after six to eight months. This inference comes from considering the release of the first season, which was released six months after post-production. As a result, you can expect Sweet Tooth season 2 to release somewhere around December 2022. Be that as it may, if the post-production process takes a longer time, the new season will hit the streaming giant sometime in January or February 2023.
More often than not, the special effects take up most of the time in the post-production process. So, if not later this year, expect the show to release in early 2023.
For those unversed, Sweet Tooth is an American fantasy drama created by Jim Mickle and based upon the titular comic book by Jeff Lemire. The official synopsis of the show, according to Netflix, reads:
