It’s Taylor’s world. We are just living in it. Why?

It seems that the 14-time Grammy-winner is not only dropping her 12th studio album soon, but also planning her debut performance at the Super Bowl Halftime Show. This potential performance could mark a significant crossover between her musical journey and the grandeur of the Super Bowl stage.

According to Cosmopolitan, the word on the street is that Taylor Swift is playing Super Bowl LX, which is set to take place at the San Francisco 49ers’ Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California. These rumours began after Swift appeared as a guest on New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce, a podcast hosted by her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, and his brother, Jason Kelce.

Yup, the same “New Heights” podcast episode where she teased her latest album, The Life of a Showgirl.

Post dropping the bomb that left Swifties wanting for more, the popstar confided about her newly discovered hobby of baking sourdough, confessing that she is now thinking about bread “60% of the time.” The 35-year-old singer stated that it (sourdough) has “taken over my life in a huge way.”

Swift further added, “I’m just, like, always baking bread and texting my friends and being like, ‘Can I send you some bread? I need some feedback. Do you like this one better than you liked the other one? Like, I did the rise a little differently.”

Now, as this mention may seem cute and culinary, the viewers did not fail to raise their eyebrows.

Per PEOPLE, the official mascot of the San Francisco 49ers is Sourdough Sam.

Coincidence? Maybe not.

As mentioned previously, Taylor said that her mind is inundated with bread “60%” of the time. And as Cosmpolitan noted, this is the 60th super bowl. Additionally, the news outlet also pointed out that the singer referenced the number 47 multiple times throughout the podcast.

Her 47th Eras Tour was reportedly staged in Levi’s Stadium.

Not just that, but according to The Tribune, the singer also reportedly thanked the Kelce brothers for “screaming for 47 seconds” and teased that she had performed in “47,000 countries.”

Well, it is quite unsurprising to unfold the clues because the “…Ready for It?” singer is quite known for dropping such cryptic hints for her fans to solve ahead of major announcements.

So the question is: Is Taylor Swift performing at Super Bowl Halftime 2026?

Based on this series of clues, there is a high possibility that Taylor Swift is performing at the Super Bowl. According to The Tribune, the singer had previously rejected Super Bowl offers because she wanted to re-record her first six albums.

With her 12th album all set to release on October 3, it seems that she might have some time to make her debut performance. In fact, according to the news outlet, fans are drawing parallels between the orange theme of the 12th album with California’s Orange County and the Chiefs’ red-and-yellow kit.

What’s interesting is to know how Levi’s also joined forces in dropping hints.

The American clothing brand posted a TikTok last week depicting someone changing their signature red Levi’s tag on a pair of jeans for an orange one and captioned it with:

“subtle swap for the big day.”

Not so subtle now, don’t you think?

Be that as it may, currently, there have been no official announcements made on the halftime performer for Super Bowl LX. Considering that Kendrick Lamar was announced in September 2024 for the February tournament, we expect the same pattern to follow suit this year.

If Swift is indeed performing for Super Bowl LX, then she would be joining the litany of some of the esteemed performers, including Usher, Rihanna, Dr. Dre, The Weeknd, and more.

Until the official announcements pour in, you can ponder over the 12 tracks of Swift’s latest album, The Life of a Showgirl, which also constitutes a cover of George Michael’s 1987 song, “Father Figure”, and a single feature with friend and singer-songwriter, Sabrina Carpenter.

Speaking about the album, Swift said that it “comes from the most infectiously joyful, wild, dramatic place I was in my life.”
