Taylor Swift is eternally grateful to her Swifties.
As her final night in Toronto drew close, the ‘Teardrops On My Guitar’ hitmaker grew emotional as concertgoers cheered her harmony-filled ‘Champagne Problems’ performance.
Standing amidst a sea of fans, her crimson waterfall gown swishing with every step she took, Swift looked regally graceful. She paused to soak in the applause and thanked her band and crew for making this concert a success all the while audibly choking holding back tears.

She announced, “And to my band and to my crew and everybody who has put so much into this tour,” before pausing to wipe away the tears that ran down her cheeks, and saying, “I don’t even know what I’m saying, I’m just having a bit of a moment, sorry.”
As the crowd continued cheering her on, the 14-times Grammy winner tried to shake off the tears, laughing, “It’s not even the last show!” The ‘Don’t Blame Me’ singer performed her final Toronto show on Friday at the Rogers Center stadium.
Swift gathered herself at last saying, “My band, my crew, all my fellow performers, we have put so much of our lives into this and you have put so much of your lives into being with us tonight and giving us that moment, we will never forget,” before adding, “We’ve loved our time in Toronto. It’s been so amazing.
The Rogers Center crowd was in for a huge surprise as the pop icon broke the ‘Eras’ pattern and mashed up some of her hits from different eras’ single tracks. Surprisingly, the mingled lyrics did not seem off-putting and flowed like a free waterfall.
For her Toronto swifties, Taylor planted two mashup songs, the first containing an amalgamation of her classic love tuned, and the second switching up to encompass heartbreaking songs of breakups and unrequited love. She blended “Sparks Fly” from “Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) and “Message In A Bottle,” a vault track from “Red (Taylor’s Version),” to constitute the first part of the mashup.
The second part invoked tear-filled reactions from the audience as they mouthed the lyrics to “You’re Losing Me” from “Midnights” with “How Did It End?” from “The Tortured Poets Department.” She bridged the two songs in her final line singing, “You’re losing me, how did it end?”
Swift is currently on a short break after her Friday concert and will be back on stage for three more nights in Vancouver from December 6-8. She will take her final bow to her record-breaking Eras Tour on December 8.
