Taylor Swift’s much-anticipated music album, The Life of a Showgirl, is out, and with it, the singer shares her thoughts about her dreamy, paradisiacal proposal from August.
While promoting her 12th album on the U.K. chat show The Graham Norton Show on Friday, October 3, the 14-time Grammy Award-winning artist, who wore a gorgeous black and bejeweled mini dress, opened up about Travis Kelce’s proposal, which was officially announced in August. According to PEOPLE, the Love Story singer told Norton, “He really crushed it in surprising me. While we were talking on his podcast, he had a complete garden built out the back of his house to propose in.”
In her first TV appearance since the proposal, the 35-year-old pop icon remarked, “He went all out – 10 out of 10.”
Inquiring whether the singer wants to divulge her wedding plans, Swift responded promptly, “You’ll know.”
She continued to say, “I want to do the album stuff first, and the wedding is what happens after in terms of planning. I think it will be fun to plan.”
But it seems that the blueprint of the nuptials is already in the making. During Swift’s appearance on the U.K.’s Hits Radio Breakfast Show on Friday, October 3, for her album promotion, the singer was asked if her friend Ed Sheeran would perform at her wedding.

According to PEOPLE, host Fleur East asked, “We spoke to Ed Sheeran a few weeks back, and he told us he is constantly asked to perform at people’s weddings. So is he singing at your wedding?”
To which Swift promptly exclaimed, “Oh, it would be hard to keep him from it, I think!”
“That’s the thing, he’s like, ‘I’m always being asked to sing at weddings.’ It’s like, ‘Ed, if there is a stage, you know you’ll be on it.’ He knows what people want, and he wants to give people what they want”, she added.
Reminiscing about the Thinking Out Loud singer’s nuptials, Swift said, “He had a great wedding … like eight years ago, forest wedding, like a woods wedding.”
Sharing more about the bond that Swift shared with the 34-year-old singer, the Wildest Dreams singer said, “That’s the fun thing about our friendship is we both love performing, and we love writing and singing. We’re like, ‘Oh, don’t make me sing … alright!’ Up there explaining to the house band, you’re like ‘Shake It Off is three chords. We’re first verse starting here!'”
“But that’s the thing, we love what we do, we love to get up onstage, it’s actually not that hard at talking either of us into performing at anything”, the musician continued.
According to E! News, Taylor Swift publicly announced her latest album while appearing on the Kansas City Chiefs’ tight end, Travis Kelce, and his brother Jason Kelce’s podcast, New Heights. She revealed how she leaned on her songwriting skills to carry her through the lengthy Eras Tour. Swift said, “This album was about what was going on behind the scenes in my inner life during this tour, which was so exuberant and electric and vibrant.”

Admitting that it helped her from “hitting a wall”, she said, “I was physically exhausted — sick and worn down — so to spark me up, I had the album as a secret passion project behind the scenes.” Not to forget that this was also the time that Taylor met and fell in love with Kelce, 35, during the Eras Tour.
Taylor had said, “It just comes from the most infectiously joyful, wild, dramatic place I was in my life, so that effervescence has come through on this record.”
In the Graham Norton chat show, the singer also recently revealed that her latest album is less introspective than some of her previous albums. Speaking to Norton, she said, “In recent years, I have a different perspective and like storytelling at a little bit of a distance, so it isn’t like doing a complete autopsy of myself.”
Talking about her development as an artist, the American singer-songwriter said, “I think my wheelhouse is bigger now. I feel I can do anything now while running in heels. I am confident to write higher choruses, jump an octave, and do falsetto stuff. I have more confidence after the tour.”
With the album out, Swift’s fiancé has also picked his favourite. According to E! News, Travis’ favorite song on Swift’s The Life of a Showgirl is Opalite. Speaking on the August 27 episode of New Heights, Kelce revealed, “I think Opalite might be my favorite. At least right now, every time it comes on, I always catch myself.”
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce announced their engagement on August 26, 2025, with a joint post on Instagram, captioned with:
“”Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married 🧨”

In addition to the floral decorations that adorned the backdrop of the place, what caught the fans’ attention was the sparkling diamond ring that rested beautifully on Taylor’s fingers. During her album promotions at the U.K. radio show, Heart Breakfast on Friday, October 3, hosts Emma Bunton and Jamie Theakston congratulated Swift on their engagement.
According to PEOPLE, Swift opened up about her engagement, particularly about the ring, sharing, “He (Kelce) designed it with this amazing jeweler, Kindred Lubeck. She does all of her gold engraving by hand.
“I had shown him a video, I just thought her stuff was so cool, I had shown him a video like a year and a half ago and he was just paying attention to everything it turns out because when I saw the ring I [gasped] … I was like, ‘I know who made this, I know who made this,’ and also, you listen to me!”
She continued to say, “It was like, you really know me. I didn’t know what I would want, but he did somehow, and that’s kind of a flex.”
Boasting a vintage-style, the massive old mine brilliant cut diamond ring is estimated to be somewhere between 7 and 10 carats by Angelic Diamonds’ Neil Dutta, as reported by PEOPLE.
