After a heartbreaking departure from Gabby and Rachel’s season of “The Bachelorette,” Zach Shallcross’ journey to finding love will continue when he steps in as the leading man for the upcoming 27th season of “The Bachelor.” Following an emotional realization about his future with Rachel, Shallcross won Bachelor Nation’s affection when he made the difficult decision to end his journey on “The Bachelorette.”
The charismatic California native will begin handing out roses. The announcement was made by host Jesse Palmer during the emotional live finale of Gabby Windey and Rachel Recchia’s season of “The Bachelorette.” An endearing 26-year-old tech executive from Anaheim Hills, California, Shallcross stole Bachelor Nation’s heart on season 19 of “The Bachelorette” with his quiet charm, wit, and openness to finding lasting love.
Audiences saw Shallcross put himself and his desire to meet “the one” first when he made his emotional exit, opening the door for his “person” to walk through. A family man at heart, Shallcross splits time between Texas and Orange County. His parents, who have been married for over 30 years, have shown him what true love looks like.

Shallcross met his first five contestants: Bailey, Brianna, Brooklyn, Cat, and Christina, during the live The Bachelorette season 19 finale.
The other notable contestants include Christina Mandrell, the niece of country music singer Barbara Mandrell; Miss South Carolina 2018 Davia Bunch; and Miss Florida World 2019 Lekha Ravi, among other contestants. The remaining constants who will enter the sixth week include Gabi, Kaity, Charity, Aly, Katherine, Brooklyn, Jess, Ariel, and Greer.
On the other hand, a few hours ago the network also released a brand new clip that showcases, “As we reach the halfway point in Bachelor Zach Shallcross’s journey to find love, there’s still so much to come! The feelings for everyone begin to intensify as the prospect of a proposal becomes more real every day, which means more romance – and more tears. Will Zach ever find his happy ever after?” Take a look at the official mid-season trailer below:
