The Blacklist is officially ending after a decade on the air and hundreds of masterful James Spader monologues as the upcoming Season 10 of the hit thriller series will be the final season! But we’ve still got quite the story as in its landmark final season Raymond Reddington (James Spader) returns to confront unparalleled danger.

With Reddington’s covert role as an FBI informant facing exposure, former Blacklisters will unite against him in their lethal desire for revenge – testing Red and the FBI Task Force as never before. The new season will officially premiere this month on Sunday, February 26, 2023, at the time slot of 10/9c on NBC, followed by season 5 of the revived Magnum P.I. and the new drama series Found

“After 10 years, hundreds of Blacklist cases, and more than 200 episodes produced, we’re honored to reach our conclusion,” said showrunner and executive producer John Eisendrath in a statement. “It’s been incredibly fun to create the strange, devious, and delightful Blacklisters to challenge Raymond Reddington and our FBI Task Force each week. We would like to thank everyone at NBC and Sony, our extraordinary crew who make the impossible happen every day, our endlessly inventive writers and producers, and our remarkable cast who brought life to these characters. We appreciate our dedicated fanbase who came along for this wonderful ride and are excited to share this final season with them.”

Jason Clodfelter, co-president of Sony Pictures Television Studios added, “We thank our wonderful partners at NBC for a remarkable 10 seasons of The Blacklist, the series that introduced the world to Raymond Reddington, brilliantly portrayed by James Spader. James has led a multi-talented and diverse cast that also featured legendary guest stars and hundreds of Blacklisters who made us all root for this anti-hero. We tip our Reddington hat to the dedicated production staff, hard-working crew, and talented writers. The unpredictable plot twists have produced a legacy TV show that served to entertain a worldwide audience, and as we enter the final season, we can’t wait for audiences to see how Raymond Reddington takes a final bow.”

“It isn’t often that a series resonates so deeply with an audience that it airs for 10 seasons, but The Blacklist proved to be a perfect combination of highly talented producers, stellar writing, a cast that never failed to deliver, and a crew that always rose to the occasion,” Lisa Katz, NBCUniversal Television and Streaming’s president of scripted content, said in a statement. Further adding, “A huge thank you to our partners at Sony, everyone from the past decade who made this show an integral part of NBC’s storied history, and, of course, a special nod to James Spader, whose performance remains nothing short of spectacular.”

The Blacklist Season 10: What to expect?

According to NBC Insider, the finale of Season 9 of The Blacklist gives many hints to what the 10th season might entail, and it’s shaking out to be a thrilling one. After eliminating Liz Keen’s murderer, Red finally satiated his need for revenge. Unfortunately for Red, No. 84 on the blacklist escapes from prison and informs many of the other blacklist criminals that Red is an FBI informant. Revenge may have been accomplished by Red, but the same can’t be said for the individuals he has put behind bars, and his safety is now compromised. The main cast members of the series who will reprise their roles are as follows James Spader as Raymond “Red” Reddington, Diego Klattenhoff as Donald Ressler, Anya Banerjee as Siya Malik, Hisham Tawfiq as Dembe Zuma, and Harry Lennix as Harold Cooper.

The recurring cast members of the series who will reprise their roles are as follows Chin Han as Wujing, Teddy Coluca as Teddy Brimley, and Jonathan Holtzman as Chuck. It will be the first season of the series not to star both Amir Arison and Laura Sohn; it will also be the second season without Megan Boone. Deirdre Lovejoy, who portrays United States Senator Cynthia Panabaker, was present at the October 6 celebration, possibly indicating her involvement in the series. Additionally, Chris McKenna wrote that he would also be joining the series in an undisclosed role.

Moreover, Siya Malik (Anya Banerjee), a brand-new member of the cast, will also appear. She will serve as a bit of a flashback for viewers who started watching The Blacklist with Season 1, as she is the daughter of the tragically assassinated Meera Malik (Parminder Nagra). The Blacklist is produced by Davis Entertainment in association with Sony Pictures Television Studios and Universal Television. Eisendrath, Bokenkamp, John Davis, and John Fox of Davis Entertainment, Spader, Lukas Reiter, Laura A. Benson, Daniel Cerone, Sean Hennen, Allison Glock-Cooper, and T Cooper are executive producers.
