While it is certain that Ackles’ Soldier Boy has been renewed for the spin-off series, there is still considerable uncertainty about the character’s role within the storyline. It would be interesting to see how the character places itself with other young superpowered beings. At the moment, the makers have kept the details of Jensen Ackles’ cameo away from the public. Will Soldier Boy return in The Boys season 4?
Soldier Boy is expected to make a comeback in The Boys season 4. Back in July 2022, showrunner Eric Kripke assured fans that he is “100 per cent” open to the character returning to the screen in the future. “The old TV adage is like, never kill anyone unless you really, really have to. Never close a door, open a window,” Kripke told EW. “We’ll all have to wait and see, but I can’t imagine the series ending without Soldier Boy making another appearance.”
