The Queen’s funeral was held in the UK on Monday, and it turned out to be an emotional one for the onlookers and the members of the royal family. Talking about the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, she was seen getting emotional and wiping off her tears on the spot. As the late Elizabeth II’s coffin was transferred to the State Hearse at the Wellington Arch, an uncontrollable Markle was seen breaking down as her lips quivered. The coffin made its last journey after the transfer to Windsor Castle, where she was buried alongside her husband, late Prince Philip, and other royal relatives.

The emotional moment

Not only Meghan Markle but many other members of the royal family got overwhelmed during the funeral. Among them is Princess Charlotte, who was snapped breaking into tears after seeing her great-grandmother’s coffin. Even King Charles III was seen tearing up, seeing the Hearse departing for Windsor Castle, where the final service of the late monarch took place. Later, Elizabeth II’s coffin got buried in St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle.

Talking about Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex wore diamond and pearl earrings that the late Queen had gifted her to pay her last respects to the monarch. Coming to Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales wore the Queen’s previously owned diamond necklace and pearls. Even Princess Charlotte wore a horseshoe brooch that was given to her by the late Queen as a gift.

Talking about Meghan, she was seated in the second row of the church and accompanied her grieving husband, Prince Harry.

Earlier, the Duke and the Duchess paid their tribute to the late Queen via Archewell Foundation and wrote, “In loving memory of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.” The late monarch’s birth and death years were also mentioned beneath the same.”

Talking about the service of remembrance, it began at the St. Paul’s Cathedral situated in London for the late Queen. Moreover, the audience present there took a moment to observe minutes of silence, after which the present King addressed the nation.
