The Flash Season 9 Plot

After defeating the Reverse Flash once and for all, the 13-episode Season 9 picks up one week later following their epic battle, and Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) and Iris West-Allen (Candice Patton) are reconnecting and growing closer than ever before. But when a deadly group of Rogues descends on Central City led by a powerful new threat, The Flash and his team-Caitlin Snow (Danielle Panabaker), Meta-Empath Cecile Horton (Danielle Nicolet), the light-powered meta Allegra Garcia (Kayla Compton), brilliant tech-nerd Chester P. Runk (Brandon McKnight), and reformed cryogenics thief Mark Blaine (Jon Cor)-must once again defy impossible odds to save the day. But as The Rogues are defeated, a deadly new adversary rises to challenge Barry Allen’s heroic legacy. And in their greatest battle yet, Barry and Team Flash will be pushed to their limits, in order to save Central City one last time.

The main cast members of the series are as follows Grant Gustin as Barry Allen / The Flash, Candice Patton as Iris West-Allen, Danielle Panabaker as Caitlin Snow, Danielle Nicolet as Cecile Horton, Kayla Compton as Allegra Garcia, Brandon McKnight as Chester P. Runk, and Jon Cor as Mark Blaine / Chillblaine. The recurring cast members of the series are as follows Jesse L. Martin as Joe West and Richard Harmon as Owen Mercer / Captain Boomerang. The guest star of the season are Javicia Leslie as Ryan Wilder / Batwoman and a “mystery character,” Nicole Maines as Nia Nal / Dreamer, and Andy Mientus as Hartley Rathaway / Pied Piper.
Additionally, the character Murmur, who was previously portrayed by Adrian Glynn McMorran in the third season of Arrow is set to appear in this season. Based on the characters from DC, The Flash is from Bonanza Productions Inc. in association with Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. The upcoming season of The Flash on the CW will be it’s last which will consist of 13 episodes with an average runtime of 41 to 45 minutes, making this the shortest season of its run. The episodes are expected to premiere on a weekly basis. The official promo of 30 seconds was released a few hours ago on December 20, 2022. The promo showcases that the series is set in the Arrowverse, sharing continuity with the other television series of the universe, and is a spin-off of Arrow. This season will be broken into at least two “Graphic Novel” storyline arcs, known as the eighth and ninth graphic novels respectively; this numbering continues from the first seven “Graphic Novels” established in the previous three seasons.
